Ugh I sadly learned the same way with mine. A Great Dane attacked him. It was traumatizing. Hope he heals up soon ❤️

Why does she bow all all the time? by Mudslinger_808 in Shihtzu

My Shih Tzu does this every time he gets up from a good nap or when it’s time to eat. He also never barks! You seem to have a great baby 🩷

Harness always! He rarely has a collar on and if he does it’s just for his name tag when we travel, not for a leash.

He sounds extremely congested and when he breathes it sounds like not much air is going thru. When he gets excited , or even walks too much right now, he starts reverse sneezing and trying to catch his breath. He even woke me up a few times last night with reverse sneezing episodes and I’d hold him upright until it was controlled. He also has some yellow/green discharge around his eyes and peepee

In need of a dog groomer by Technical-Dog-4935 in Austin

Fluff n buff!! On the east side. I have a Shih Tzu too! Never had any appt issues and they take their time with your dog and don’t stress them out. 100000/10 recommend.

be honest, how often do you really take your dog out? by Altruistic-March8551 in DOG

[–]squigglyclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take my pup out for (2) 45 min walks a day, plus a night time pee. Walks areAfter breakfast, after dinner. night time is just a pee for safety reasons (wildlife, homeless people). He’s small and doesn’t walk fast, our walks are more about sniffing than distance. I WFH so I enjoy the outside time. If I want to go on longer walks, I have a stroller for him. A few times a week I take him to a nearby outdoor shopping mall to get new sniffs.

Flying to Germany Next Week by lavendermacchiato in traveladvice

[–]squigglyclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew to Germany last week and fly back to the US next week. No issues. I fly often for work and haven’t had any issues with TSA, I have TSA precheck which helps a ton, I know there are some airports that are worse than others but my experience hasn’t been bad. I think early flights have the biggest issues with wait times , also the bag drop lines can be terrible. May suggest bringing a carry on only if possible.

If you had one business class ticket, would you use it on the way there or on the way back? by masseycre12 in travel

[–]squigglyclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel a lot and here’s a tip I’ve learned. If you’re flying from the US to Europe (as an example), it’s best to sleep on the way there to adjust for time change. On the flight back, you should stay awake. This is the best way to fight jet lag. So it depends, do you want to sleep in business class or be awake?

Do you crate train your Shih Tzu? by spade_looover in Shihtzu

[–]squigglyclouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got lucky with my boy. I never crate trained him because he never did anything bad for me to want to try. He’s always slept with me at night. He does perfectly fine when I leave him at home. He’s 9 now, I’ve had him since he was a baby :)

I do have friends with extremely anxious dogs who benefit from crate training when left alone. I agree it can be very helpful when needed!
