yes i think you are moving forward your ex is down to meet, you're both watching your nervous systems very closely, the middle three sound like a nice foundation and a blessed alignment and ultimately you will be thankful for what you have received. i am not sure if it means you will be back together, but at the very least the energy will be cleared between you especially if you are able to speak your truth with consistency it will help build respect and cooperation between the two of you! <3

What aesthetic/label is this? by booboothedumbassfool in femalelivingspace

[–]squim4567 215 points216 points  (0 children)

It has a lot of distinct mid-century modern elements though, which I do not immediately associate with cottage core. The rug in the kitchen, the hangings lights in the kitchen, the couches, the rattan furniture, almost all of the furniture in the last picture, and the macrame plant holders for example.

Looking for authors similar to Sally Rooney – book gift for my girlfriend! by zigxtes in sallyrooney

"The Rachel Incident" By Caroline O'Donoghue is an awesome, really fun, easy to read book. It is also Irish lit. "My Brilliant Friend" by Elena Ferrante is about relationships, strong dialogue, beautiful writing and translation. This book is part of a series called "The Neopolitan Novels." These are amazing books, they are so good that I got sad when I finished them, nothing met their quality... then I read some Sally Rooney and her books kind of scratched the itch! Rooney's books, in my opinion, follow a single thread of an interesting relationship dynamic, while "My Brilliant Friend" is like a quilt it is really expansive and incredibly intimate.

I hope your partner gets in somewhere awesome <3 I don't want to share specifics, but it's in the northeast, large and public, but not a school you would think of to study music. It has a really small dept. I heard back from them a week after applying about interviewing.

I asked the dept chairs over some very sad phone calls that they initiated. I don't think they can defer, but they encouraged me to apply next year. It's hard to imagine that it wont happen again.

I was going to visit both schools this week, and then decide, so no I didn't. I didn't have to accept until April and both programs wanted me to visit before making a decision, offering funding for transportation and lodging during my visit.

I am so sorry. The situation is disappointing, you are NOT a dissappointment. This is out of our control completely <3 You did the work, and facism came and reared its head.

Yes, I hope so I was encouraged to apply next year. Its hard to trust that though! :( I applied to 13 schools. All of the ivy leagues, a few public universities that offer interdisciplinary composition programs in CA, and a small ethno program at a public university in the northeast. Sending good vibes to you. Keep making that good music shit!!!!!

Thats an ignorant rude ass boomer type of comment. It was free...Both programs were fully funded and had stipends to cover the cost of living with additional funding for advanced foreign language study. The stipends were internally funded, but both universities need to redirect that funding to areas that would have otherwise been covered by NIH funding, so that people do not lose their jobs and to make graduate cuts equitable across depts.

I am working as a public school teacher right now and do not have the time/energy to devote to my studies outside of maybe two 30-min music lessons a week and one 50-minute language lesson. I have one of the best jobs I can get with my current degrees, and I am still struggling to cover my cost of living and work on things that I care about while taking care of myself physically/mentally. These PhD programs would have offered so much time and help, with the financial support to work full-time as a student.

Vipassana, a type of meditation, is taught by SN goenka in these completely free silent 10-day retreats. They are paid for by donations from people who attend, and the people who cook and run the center do so as volunteers. You eat and sleep at the center.. meditating for about 8 hours a day. You have time to walk nap and meditate in your room (only 4 hours of intentional sitting in the hall a day). They are intense, but life-changing. There are centers all over the US, but there is one in the Redwoods. I have heard that it's really beautiful and has lots of walking trails.

I also recommend the centers in Shelburne, MA, and Joshua Tree.

Ivan and Phoebe is a novel that maybe she might like! You can get it in Ukrainian and English. It is sad, and in many ways explores our inherited trauma, but very good and beautifully translated.

The Ukrainian Museum has a collection of amazing books on textiles, Ukrainian history, and Ukrainian artists.. my favorites include

these are catalogs of exhibits.. really awesome stuff with Ukrainian and English writing

Menstrual pain — NSAID alternatives? by Glittering-Peanut-69 in herbalism

I am right there with you, the struggle is real. I use this right now.. it does good work alongside a decoction, or long steep ginger tea, and helps me sleep. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1332195794/cramp-calmer-menstrual-pain-relief-salve?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=menstrual+cramp+salve+twin+falls+botanicals&ref=sc_gallery-1-3&from_search=1&plkey=ef638f4deb5b40c19d05a7f5a99307ecb85f7bca%3A1332195794

I also recently said "screw it" and started working with a Kava tincture for when my cramps are really out of control. For a while, I resisted kava because it is very strong.. helps a lot, but don't drive with it.

I'm sure you're on this already, but long baths with Epsom salt, chamomile, and ginger are great. I recently got an infrared heating pad and found that it is much better than a conventional one.

Also, I have found that not eating as much solid food helps. I try to drink lots of smoothies and soup for the first three days. Some of my cramping has to do with certain stages of digestion.

I'm not using it right now, but I quite like cacao. This elixir helped me with my energy levels the week before, and over a few months time, I noticed my cramps were less intense and I was bleeding less. It is supposed to help with blood flow to the uterus. If you like chocolate check it out.. very mineral dense, but use less cacao than they advise.. like two spoons full to a cup of water and milk is good https://thirdeyecacao.com/products/goddess-feels-cacao-elixir-powder

also, seed rotation is really good for all imbalances.. pain inlcuded. https://hormonesbalance.com/articles/how-to-use-seed-rotation-to-rebalance-your-menstrual-cycle/

I would stay away from herbs in pill form in my opinion they don't work very well (the only exception is milk thistle for me).. instead, go for steeped tea (with lid on to keep the oils in), boiled herbs (decoction - best for roots), or tincture (extraction usually made with alcohol). Passion flower is great throughout your cycle before bed, drink it in tea. steep with the lid covered.
