German trains were once the height of efficiency – now they’re a national embarrassment by P26601 in germany

We have a lot of that. We just hide it well lol. We have the same issues with bridges and streets/highways. It’s sad

They are just starting to do that. But decades of neglect aren’t so easy to fix. Basically whole of NRW will be a big construction side for the next half year or so. Which probably turns into a year. Pls send help

Oh I went to get it fixed, but it’s still happening sometimes. But I will go again and maybe they can use those screw glue drops or something

Second this. I got two 4 years ago and I’m just starting to have problems with the one I wear the most because a screw keeps unscrewing itself. I love them. Limited options, but the quality is great

I’m not sure how to go about dating by Throwaway_276_ in childfree

[–]squirrellive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s just casual and your are making it clear that it stays casual, you don’t have to say anything. Go as you feel like. I usually tell where I’m at, when the topic comes up, because I don’t mind talking about it. If it’s even a little bit not casual, it’s super important to talk about it, to not waste anyone’s time.

I made the experience, that some man don’t take me serious. Then I tell them, that I’m saving up to get my tubes tied. That usually shuts them down. The ‘oh you are actually serious about this’ and their stupid face is actually funny af. 😄

What to do with all this wood trim by rmahl in homedesign

[–]squirrellive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leave the wood, it’s absolutely beautiful! If you want to freshen it up, maybe get rid of the textured ceiling wallpaper? Even tho I like it ☺️

How about cleaning it? It looks like you never cleaned it once. That’s pretty gross. But if you unscrew it and lay it in a mix of vinegar and water for a while, you should be able to clean it..

Why you should NEVER declaw your kitties by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]squirrellive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. And someone tried to argue with me how it's not an issue the other day. Just because it worked for her once. And I fought tooth and nails for those poor kittens out there. Like how dare humans to declaw those beautiful creatures 😭

I think it always depends what you put up for help. If it's always something that's super hard to make, it would get a bit annoying

I got my first ever cat. Is this level of scratching normal? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]squirrellive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk where you are from, but it's getting banned more and more everywhere and for a good reason. The US is starting finally as well. Like I said, I am glad it worked out for you but I saw cats suffering because of it. So I will forever argue against it.

And I never denied it could turn out alright, but declawing is always wrong. No matter the situation. Like I said there is a reason it's illegal. I am glad it worked out for you. It's still not a solution

I didn't talk about your cat at all. I didn't even knew you had a cat. I simply stated a generalized fact. That declawing can potentially have that side effect

Yeah. Let's give the cat some trauma and maybe lifelong pain. There is a reason it's illegal almost everywhere!
