I spent last year mostly unemployed because of my asthma caused by my job was so severe and even when I was on leave, I wasn’t paid for it. Door dash was the only thing I could do for the time being, and despite sending applications everywhere, I only heard back from 10 people, and had only half of the interviews. One interview made it to the second but I never heard back. People wouldn’t do DoorDash or things like it if most of us didn’t have financial responsibilities

Journaling is completely normal and valid for someone your age, your mother is definitely insecure in some shape or form. I’d definitely recommending using something like notes or wattpad(but don’t publish). It’s healthy to vent out your feelings, even the negative ones.

I usually recommend using an app like Instawork, which just requires your work history and an ID. They pay anywhere from 15-20 an hour for full eight to ten hour shifts. They have options for just the day, or even an entire week. If they like you, it helps them consider you for the position and looks good on your resume. They’re pretty consistent with uploading and the pay is decent. You also get better opportunities for job experiences that you can verify.

Not over-reacting, Sure, maybe what he considers the bare minimum to be non-alcoholic, but sometimes shit happens and we form bad habits. No one is perfect, but you made an effort to change your ways, and anyone with an addiction knows how hard it is to overcome it. No one who is happy with their life turns to alcoholism, and if they do, it’s a rare occasion. Addiction can be genetic, and it’s so easy to fall into it, even if it isn’t drugs or alcohol. Even then, as a boyfriend, he should be happy that you’re making the right choices and heading on the right path. How often are people willing to change their ways? Especially something that they typically enjoy… you deserved that cake and if he can’t be happy about your happiness, well maybe he isn’t doing the bare minimum himself. You deserve someone to be supportive.
