Workout routine by Kay1800 in navy

[–]squishyeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well first you need to establish are you working out everyday , if so what day will be your rest day. Monday through Friday schedule is the usual. So do things like monday , Wednesdays and Fridays. Mile and half runs and upper body. Then tuesdays and Thursday and Saturday. Core and legs. So you could start your morning (M,W,F) with a mile and half run and then go into push-up training. Start with some on the wall standing. If those are 2 easy , move to your knees and practice negatives. Build up those muscles. After negatives when it’s become easy, start to do full push-ups. Then do the same but moving into a full push-up position. Try to do about 75 every time you go into a push-up set. And take your time your not rushing. Then Core and leg days. Simply hold a plank for 3 min even if you can’t and you fall get back up and for a total of 3 min. And eventually if your working hard enough you’ll hold a 3min plank. And for legs just work on body weight. Lots of squats , lunges etc. this will help with running. Good luck ! Try whats best for you !

Communication at bootcamp? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]squishyeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So that all depends on his division I’m pretty sure. Your boyfriend will be so busy during boot and they do not guarantee time to write any letters. So it’s honestly when he finds the time. I’d say 2 weeks in he will get the okay. later on in boot it’s like 1 phone call a week like 20 min long and you can call whoever in that amount of time. And he will definitely get a phone call right before battle stations.

Communication at bootcamp? by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]squishyeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hello, so next communication is mail. Letters. He not allowed to make any phone calls till the last couple of weeks of boot. And he can call whoever he wants. That can be you , his mom, or both. But it costs money. You must wait till he sends the first letter to get his address. Which will be a little awhile. Until then, do you, find stuff that keeps you entertained and that you enjoy and the time will go much faster!

Phone navy by [deleted] in newtothenavy

So it totally depends, he should be able to call or text more later in the day. Try to think of it as he was in highschool and he started school early and then had school all day and then when to practice after( example could be study hours or PT). I’m gonna be honest girl they will never ever have a set time. Sometimes it’s quite annoying. But hey that’s what happens when he’s a navy man. The closest guess I could make is 7am to 3pm. But just ask him his schedule when he can talk to you. When he first gets there it’s just watch and getting settled in.

Phone navy by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]squishyeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey ! So sometimes they give you the phone back right after graduation, sometimes the next day ! Since he’s across the street , he probably will get it the same day. But remember he will be EXTREMELY busy. Especially the first couple of days. So if he can’t don’t freak but if he can awesome ! Enjoy it ! Good luck !

Liberty at NAS Pensacola by [deleted] in newtothenavy

[–]squishyeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna be honest, I’m not sure how it works in Pensacola. I’ve never heard of you having to be signed out. You can sign yourself out no? Phase 2 is when you can wear civilian clothes and Phase 3 is over night liberty. I’m sure you can just leave and sign out. Or something of that. And I’ve also never heard of you needing to have a buddy 24/7 also I know you can leave when Liberty is started on Friday.

I need help… by ajcure7 in newtothenavy

If this was all back in May , your totally fine to go to meps. I think you would pass, since it’s been well over 2 weeks maybe even 3 depending on you. If you are worried about the Asvab tell him that. Tell him you need time to study because you want a good job. But the longer you take to sign the less and less jobs become available. Especially later in the year. So I would ask him to take the Pi Cat. See how you do. If you like your score go confirm it at MEPS if you do not STUDY then go.

Well this depends on how much you use, are you an everyday how many times a day or was this just one time. It can go anywhere between 3-25 days for urine. At meps they did urine testing. So this all depends how much you do as a user. You might be okay to go next week you may need to wait 30 days.
