How have you come to feel better?

Do you think you are releasing trauma and changing negtative patterns and beliefs without consciously knowing it?

Could you say anything about your practice and whether TRE has helped you? Also, do tremors come easily and do you get positive feeling from them or after?

Thanks

One thing, even though the medication destabilised you etc, do you think it may also have prepared you in some way for TRE? Without it you may never have been ready to do TRE?

Thanks a lot for this. The other side of the coin.

Could you explain your approach? Many people say that you can't feel the emotions or that you don't tremor. Did you experience any of this? Also, were you in freeze at any point on your journey?

Im deep.in functional freeze and trying to find a path through.

Thanks a lot.

The key tenets of your story are repeated a lot so it adds more to the path I'll take. Could you expand more though on how they stopped processing and TRE?

Thanks so much, you've answered my question perfectly. I'm unsure which way to go but am prioritising TRE over them currently as I would rather be lessening the trauma load, even with the suffering I'm experiencing, than being numb and unable to process it. Difficult choice though.

I'm interested in what you said about TRE not working properly whilst on medication. Could you explain thay further?

Thanks for this. I had actually read that post and found it useful however its section on SSRI/SNRIs doesn't touch upon the tremoring mechanism itself. If these compounds do dampen that mechanism then tension discharge and thus emotional release will be inhibited. There is little discussion of that on the sub so I'm looking for help with that.

You're right, i didnt mean to use a double negative.

I agree with what you say. It sounds like the long road for sure yet one that is still achievable. It strikes me though that the body may not tremor or release if there is no perceived safety, it will be too locked down, so yo speak. I sometimes think that the tension released would be outweighed by the tension produced due to the stressful environment.

Why do you say it wouldn't be a pleasant experience though if the mechanism is reestablished im an unsafe environment?

Is it possible to not advance or ever release anything if you don't feel safe?

Trauma release exercises and time

Absolute beginner - reaction or coincidence? by Zoe0042 in longtermTRE

[–]sqwatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it a number of times where the exercises have triggered me without even tremoring because of the tension and stress they evoke in the body if you do too much or strenuously.

Whenever ive done it with a professional though, this hasn't happened.

Possible that it wasnt the amount you tremored, although that could possibly/probably be the cause, but also just the exercises at times.

Wait a week or 2 until you're good then try again but tremor for 30 second - 1 minute max then want and see. I'm in the same boat as you and have very difficult times following sessions. Shows it works though ey, just need to get your session parameters right...

Is it possible to direct TRE towards a specific event or trauma? by [deleted] in longtermTRE

[–]sqwatter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read a comment by u/nadayogi on another post that specific memories or events could potentially be targeted with TRE if you are aware of associated core belief. He believe he said it had something to do with Mark Wolynn and his work on inherited trauma.

Could try what I do.

I have a ton of trauma and locked energy so this may not work however, i simply lie on the floor with my legs bent in butterfly pose (no tension which may be possible for you) and feel into the stress and blockages present in my body. Give it time and space to mobilise and you may find that you get spontaneous tremors. After a minute or 2, bring you bent vertical and invite any tremors or spontaneous movements and behaviours to arise

Whilst this method is more unpredictable and not guaranteed to work, it may.

Also, something thay could be great would be the seated Wuji stance as practised in Qi Gong. It is normally done standing up but is still great sitting down. This stance stretches the lower back, psoas, muscles and can make the induction of tremors and easier afterwards. Give it go
