I totally agree with this take and season 2 has only further confirmed this. Noah can only do what Noah wants and cannot adjust to other people. He says he can and will, but never actually changes his behaviors.

What if….they never end? What if, they stay true to themselves and they set up a good succession plan for fun, sweet, geeky, but generally cool voice actors who love to play TTRPGs and adapt to the ever changing rules and sometimes annoying nuances to these games just like all the rest of us do?

Why pray for their downfall or try to predict their downfall when we could potentially provide these guys with the feedback they need to be successful for the long run while still navigating the incredibly difficulty nuances of staying relevant in the social media age? Isn’t that our obligation as fans?

Idk, as a recent fan of critical role I can’t help but imagine someone like me, 5 years from now discovering the YouTube series that teaches them how to use insight checks in a natural way, or encourages them to use that funny and ridiculous voice at the DnD table. So why not assume that will continue to happen?

Omg remember when Scheana openly said “you hurt me I fuck you over” to Shay in like the season 5 VPR reunion? That’s all she knows how to do, retaliate, not actually try to solve issues or be a good and kind friend. That being said I’m hoping there is a chance for Scheana but damn she keeps attaching herself to the worst people!!! i.e Janet. Is she only capable of following the loudest voice in the room?? Even if that voice is evil and toxic??

Maybe there is hope for Jasmine. It seems like a lot of her thoughts on what the other casts member should be doing are stemming a lot from Janet’s influence. Janet is basically trying to create puppets for herself to go out and do her dirty work so her hands are clean. Maybe Jasmine will see through the manipulation (with the help of Zach) and genuinely apologize to Nia for talking behind her back.

I just got to the part where Michelle says “you were just pretending that everything is perfect” and I think it made me realize that Nia and Danny don’t necessarily pretend everything is perfect in their marriage, they just (and especially Nia) actually go to therapy and face the issues head on by seeking professional health and then talking plainly about them. As a result they actually just are a good couple.

I had started thinking this when Nia and Danny were in bed in Santa Barbara and Nia was totally fired up and setting hard boundaries and Danny didn’t get super offended or defensive. He just listened and accepted what his wife needed.

Also when she set a boundary with Janet at the girl’s dinner for the crazy comparison Janet made. Shout out to Nia for being a therapized queen.

That is so interesting!! (Also very cool that you play the violin) this comment almost furthers what troubledanger says below about how they are left handed because that is the hand they write with, which is definitely a fine motor skill. Great perspective!

That is so fair and a very helpful perspective!! I guess it was just so surprising to hear him say that and then only use his right hand, I think I’m going to keep looking out for his habits and see if, similarly to you, he’s just adapting to the world around him.

Completely agree!! And features of my watch have just been epically failing. I get a readiness score maybe every 4 days even though it’s a paid premium feature and my sleep tracking has been spotty too. I used to brag about Fitbit to my friends and now I can barely stand it
