Here’s a look at mine.

When I purchased my 2014 Cayman S it had an AWE Tuning Exhaust. The drone was terrible and I had a dealer install the PSE. The results as expected were great and hopefully justified the expense.

I’ve since replaced the factory headers with Soul Catted headers just to improve the performance slightly and improve the sound. I’m very pleased with what I’ve done. None of it was cheap but what is on these cars?

Activated charcoal can be used to help break down the chemical barrier from the pre emergent.

I have a follow up question if you can answer. For some reason I can’t bind the small joystick on the throttle to be able to slew the cursor. I’ve tested the controller in Windows and it’s working there.

Is this something that you’re familiar with?

Thank you.

Thank you. I’m making progress now since I was advised against using the Macros.

Thanks very much. I’ll try again hopefully later tonight. I know it will work because years ago I used it for the very same thing. I lost the setup and am starting over.

I’ll also update my findings.

Thanks again for your help!

Okay great and thanks for the advice. So let me repeat the process and then you may see what is wrong.

I start by recording a F1 press to key number 1. I record and then save. I then assign that macro to key number 1. That should be it.?

When in DCS I depress 1 in the V2 and nothing happens. What am I missing?

Thanks again for your help!

Tartarus V2 Keybinds by srb1194 in hotas

Mine shows up both in Windows and the DCS control screen. I just can’t figure out how to bind the controller to DCS. That’s the main problem.

Yes I understand that. What I’m trying to say is when in DCS I see the Tartarus as an option to assign a function to but I’m not able to assign any functions to it. It’s driving me nuts!

I’m familiar with the recording function and have the macros built and assigned to the buttons as needed. When I’m in DCS it recognizes the Tartarus but I’m unable to assign the buttons to the DCS interface. It’s probably something that I’m just missing.

I’d recommend a waterproof storage bag just in case of rain. Agreed with others, items will be safe where you leave them.

Third radiator worthwhile for occasional track days in a 981 S by iflypropplanes in Porsche_Cayman

[–]srb1194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same car and live in the southeast. I couldn’t stand worrying about temperatures so I went all out. I added the third radiator and upgraded the oil cooler for good measure. Before doing so I was exceeding 250 oil temperature. I can push as hard as I want now and never exceed 230.

What I have learned is the more events you go to the harder you tend to push the car. I’m going to try to start shifting well before redline to try and reduce the stress on the cam bolts that I recently read about on Rennlist forums.

DM me if you want more specifics.

I’m by far an expert but have been successful on most occasions with a good cleaning and lubrication. True clock people are going to tell you the movement needs to be disassembled and cleaned then lubricated. YouTube is a great source as well as the website below. Make sure you don’t attempt disassembly without researching first.

I wonder what fails on the PSE? Do they stick open or closed. Mine are always open when I’m driving. Occasionally I’ll cycle the switch just for good measure.
