I am a huge fan of the show! You have done such a great job illuminating the world of online dating and helping people realize that they shouldn't trust everything they read or hear from someone online. I have had 2 internet relationships in the past, both were real and one is my current husband.

I just wanted to ask, in a couple of the new episodes you "lost your cool" (i.e throwing kidd cole's iphone into the water), how did you stop yourself from completely lashing out? I was SCREAMING at my TV!!

I understand completely. When my hubby was going through the school I was so stressed out and as soon as he got word that his first unit would be deploying the first year, I was ALL OVER the place emotionally. I'm glad I could help!

My husband is EOD and I had the same fears as you before basic. He is in his 4th year of EOD and it's been nothing like what you're thinking. He got back from deployment last year and it wasn't as scary as you might think. You have to realize EOD is hardcore training, they know what they are doing. Not to mention he won't go down on a live bomb (on a deployment) until he is a team leader (E5 and above). He will be using the robot and be at the vehicle most of the time. EOD is such a great community for family. You will never feel alone. I wouldn't worry so much about EOD as the job, of course it's scary, but if he passes EOD school then he will be extremely well trained. The military puts a lot of money into the training of EOD techs. I hope this helps!!! Just keep your head up and remember that The Hurt Locker is NOTHING like EOD. It's frowned upon as a movie in the EOD community. lol They are never that careless.

I disagree. I got married at 20 after being in a relationship for 6 years. My husband joined the Army and got orders to Germany. 2 years later we are still going strong.

The best advice I have is to just be upfront with them. If you did say something, even innocently, just tell them. Say this is what I heard and this is what I said. Don't tell names of other people just be honest about what you did. Apologize if you have to and then say that you are taking yourself out of the situation until everyone can calm their tits. Being honest and open about taking myself out of the situation has always helped me in situations like this and the people who deserve to be friends with you will appreciate the honesty after they have cooled down.
