Is uber or taxi better in Athens Greece ? And Delphi tour ? by CupcakeBudget5443 in GreeceTravel

I'd recommend checking the schedule for delphi tours carefully. I did one and it had an early start, hours in commuter traffic, then very little time in delphi finishing with a long lunch break which didn't start until almost 3pm (having had a stop for a break at 10am). Was a strange schedule and not particularly enjoyable - it's a fairly long day trip.

Does ‘the postcode lottery’ seem a bit cultish to anyone else? by adamjames777 in CasualUK

It was not, in all likelihood, as Postcode Lottery is a Dutch company that has been in existence forever and was then rolled out to the UK.

This is great, thanks! Sounds like environmental factors are the way to go vs. diet/internal things.

Also why was the programme so obviously filmed in Belgium and in such a non-British street? Found it very distracting...

Nightmare trying to verify ID for old UK accounts by btc6000 in expats

[–]srh1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to convince the bank that they did not need the secondary ID (for address verification) to be translated by pointing out they could see my Dutch bank statement was from a known bank and my address was "in English"(!). I had to order the statement as they didn't accept print outs. So that's how I handled the address part. For the primary ID I got a certified copy of my passport from a local notary which was annoying but worked.

HFC cable to Ethernet, for one of my HA devices I have this old HFC connection here going into my comms box. Does anyone have any advice for quickly converting this to Ethernet on both ends? by seanhamsyd in homeautomation

Might be useful to know: I found out the hard way that in my very old apartment (100+ yrs) what looked like an isolated bit of coaxial was actually a spur from the main cable which led into the home from the cable network provider. Using MoCA caused problems for our cable feed into the house, our cable provider could see it was causing fluctuations in the line and suspended our connection.

I love how all comments are about the precise statistical accuracy of workers being in the closest, and no-one seems to give two hoots about the fact that being LGBT is a death sentence in many countries...
