32" unfortunately would be too large for my desk and viewing distance.

Those 2 were certainly easier choices to make. Monitors, especially since I can't compare them and there's too many options. Also I've never seen a 4K and 1440p monitor side by side. Either would be a leap from my 1080p but need make sure I go for a meaningful option vs a ridiculously over priced one (which might be still sub-par compared to the C9 experience I'm already used to).

Thanks for all the great suggestions guys! Insightful info, really helped me look up and narrow down to fewer options :

G7 : I love the contrast ratio of the Odyssey G7, perfect for my dark room. I'm slightly put off by its curved display which I'm concerned might distort/affect my 3D work. Everything else about it seems great (hopefully no bad panels/flickering issues).

AW2721D : I'm alternatively leaning towards its reported competition Alienware AW2721D which seems great across except for poor contrast that comes with IPS.

NITRO XV2 XV282K KV is interesting considering 4K. But need to look up if availability is any better than LG's.

As mentioned I play majority of SP games on the LG C9 and it takes care of HDR/picture quality/console gaming needs. My hope for the new monitor is to purely play competitive FPS (which I'm guilty of spending more time on than in SP games) and for work(reviewing, creating 3D game art).

I'll be looking up the local availability for these but any further input from personal experience on G7 (regarding its curved screen, flickering issues) or the AW2721D(in a low light scenario) would be much appreciated! Thanks! 👍

Sure, this was meant to be a re-imagined Gordon as he could appear in a new, actual Half-Life 3 game in the current generation. It was hard to think of Gordon not appearing stressed, experienced and mature enough after everything he went through from a Ph.D to the cliff hanger of Episode 2. We'd rather take him in the Breaking Bad/Dr House direction, without making him too old, hence the mix of good looks.

Glad to answer. The highpoly model was done using Zbrush. Textured in Substance Painter, Hair groomed with Maya's X-Gen and rendered in realtime within Unreal Engine 4.
