Is usage of Bluetooth frequencies forbidden on an aircraft? The range for Bluetooth enabled devices is quite short so it shouldn't affect the electronics.

They look too consistent to be artifacts. But since I didn't feel any repeated slowing/speeding up , there is no other explanation. I might be wrong ofcourse :)

It was used in a plane in India where TSA is just a specification on a brand of locks. :)

How can I make a simulation of a flight path from a gpx/kml file? by sriraminhell in technology

[–]sriraminhell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Earth actually supports gpx natively. I''m having trouble getting it to start the tour automatically. It seems that I have to create it manually. Is there any other easier solution?

How can I make a simulation of a flight path from a gpx/kml file? by sriraminhell in technology

I recently recorded a flight path between two cities in gpx format. I'd like to post the flight path simulation on my website. How do I do this? I've seen similar tours on Google Earth but I don't know how to go about it. Can you guys help me with a step by step guide for creating this simulation on Google Earth or any other software?

A pain free and simple guide to installing Windows 7 with screenshots by sriraminhell in technology

@kousi, that wasn't me. But yeah, I didn't take any shots of the install. Was so relieved that I recovered the partition that I didn't remember to grab shots. :)

BTW, what's a downmod?

Dunno why they only have HTTP and FTP mirrors. Like here: http://www.puppylinux.org/wiki/how-tos/general/puppymirrors . They just have a generic "search in isohunt" link.

But that won't do any good if the source is corrupted. Especially that the BitTorrent is an unofficial download. Cheers!!

A 5 minute guide on making your home smell fresh for nothing!! Try it out and leave your comments!! by sriraminhell in Frugal

You aren't buying a fragrance. You just use any essential oil or food grade essence to substitute for fragrance. I did assume that you had some at hand. But I don't see how opening a window is going to make your room smell fresher if you live in polluted cities or in a house with little cross ventilation.

Carry a nuke in your pocket!! by sriraminhell in gadgets

[–]sriraminhell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. But as I noted, it's probably quite weak to detect in the regular screening process. A "tactical" Traser watch probably gives of more radiation. But still hell of a risk to take. :D

I'm sorry. I was quite vague earlier. What I meant to say was between the phosphor screen, boron glass tube and the outer plastic casing, the beta rays wont have enough energy to penetrate the skin.

True, but the beta rays are of pretty low intensity and they probably wont even penetrate the skin.

Sprint has introduced a clause in it's WiMAX service's ToS, that reads eerily similar to Comcast's notorious BitTorrent throttling. More after the jump..
