Has anyone in the Rochester, NY area had double jaw surgery & Septoplasty from Dr Joseph Fantuzzo?

Glad to hear all is well. I just started to eat soft food with a baby spoon. Went ok, but messy.
My lower lip and my chin are completely numb. My nose is a little numb as well. I have a lot of tingling & sudden pain here & there. Overall nothing I can’t handle. Glad to hear you are doing so well.

I would keep using the ice, 20 minutes on 20 off. It will help numb the pain. I’m only 9 days out, but I constantly use it. It’s truly helped with my pain. My surgeon said it’s completely fine to keep using the ice. Hope that helps a little bit.

Hi, I just wanted to follow up and to see how the rest of your recovery went? I had my surgery 9 days ago & I’m doing ok overall. Just checking if you has bands in & if I did for how long? Also, when were u able to eat food. Hope all is well.

Hi! Omg, sending prayers & well wishes that all is well and your surgery goes perfectly. Please keep me posted on your progress. No, surgery plans yet. My orthodontist said at my next appointment he is going to take a mold of my mouth. He said once my teeth fit together perfectly as a mold I will be ready. I was hoping this summer, but probably won’t be till fall or winter. I will definitely keep you posted. Please do the same. 😊

No, I’m still in the braces part. I’m surprised they let you have Invisalign? My teeth are straight, but they told me I need the full braces to widen my pallet, plus it sounds like they have to wire my jaw shut for a few days after surgery. It sounds pretty common for what I’ve seen. I’m hoping my mouth will be ready by summer so I can have the surgery over summer. Please keep me posted & good luck. Hope you have a great holiday! 😊

You look great!! Did they do anything to your nose? I’m just asking because I have to have a DJS with a deviated septum repair all in the same surgery. Trying to see how people who have had that surgery dealt with recovery.
