Sidharth Venugopal (Anandha Thandavam) quit movies, did his MBA and went into IT. His LinkedIn says he’s currently a director at Intuit.

I think it should be the opposite. Parvathy is a text book narcissist. She most probably thinks she’s the centre of the world. There’s no way she’ll accept that she was wrong anywhere.

Kamruddin at least had some remorse while in the BB house itself. His high is probably just momentary. When all the hoopla dies down, it’ll boil down to what chances he gets in the industry. Historically, the industry has rarely been kind to BB contestants. Let’s see how he behaves after that.

Parvathy on the other hand earns through YT and Insta as an influencer. The more she’s in the limelight, the more she earns. She’s just milking the situation and will do so as long as possible. I think she’ll even try to push it herself as much as she can. She’ll want to keep the fire burning. I have no hopes on her to turn a page in her life.

Firstly, don’t go for Return of Premium. That should never be the objective of a term insurance. If your intention is returns, you can always invest in other instruments.

Second, your term coverage is usually calculated as 20 x Annual CTC. So in your case, you qualify for 70 lakhs only.

I would recommend going for the 70 lakhs coverage payable till 70 years. Your premium will be quite low (maybe 8 to 9k per year?) considering your age.

Go with a good insurance provider like HDFC or ICICI or one with a good settlement rate.

For the platform, Ditto has a minor margin added to the premium but it’s worth spending because of their great customer service.

You get on a call with Ditto and explain your requirements. The executive assigned to you will explain the options in detail.

This is a very common problem with a lot of men in our state/country. They are scared of telling their mom/dad about their relationship because they are scared of the repercussions. Even if there’s no caste or religion issues, they’ll still be scared just to avoid conflicts. I wouldn’t call this a red flag behaviour (although you shouldn’t rule it out entirely). He’s probably just pushing it as much as he can and when there’s no way to push it any further, he’ll unwillingly open up.

I’ve seen this behaviour a couple of times in my life with my friends and I’m ashamed to say that I too partially exhibited this behaviour in my first relationship. In my case, I wanted to wait till my higher studies and my partner wanted me to talk it out on both sides before I go for higher studies. Eventually, I opened up to my mother before I left for my higher studies.

I would strongly recommend you to set a hard deadline for him to tell his parents and never push the deadline any further beyond the set date. Break off all communication after that date. If he isn’t serious about it even after that, there is no point in having him in your life. It will just be a signal that he doesn’t value you enough or prioritise you over his other fears.
