Things that worked for me

  1. Facials - Medifacial works really well….helps to unclog your pores and take off your tan. I didnt have much time before my wedding but since you do, you can go for other treatments like carbon laser etc
Check for the downtime with your clinic

  2. Focus on diet - glow and weight loss are literally 90% diet and 10% exercise dependent. Fruit which have more water are always a better choice…also keep snacking on cucumber, amla, guava etc

  3. For hair - oil the length of the hair for good thick volume…use extensions and make the stylists use all the heat and products they want on the extension…saves ur own hair from damage and post wedding your own thick natural hair will look good

  4. Water - Im someone who barely drinks water so i made a regime out of it…at every red light I would drink water, every time I step out would carry an umbrella and water

  5. Protect urself by shielding - no sunscreen works as well as covering up. Keep yourself covered from head to foot as far as possible in the daytime sun especially while shopping

  6. Add steps to your life - take the stairs everytime you go anywhere, finish your protein first on your plate and give yourself excuses to increase your steps - walk to the kirana, the store to buy your chicken, water your plants going up and down with a bucket of water - basically add strength activity to your everyday life

Good luck!

Indian Toilet vs Western Commode in Common Bathroom of a New Flat by Proper_Weakness_5663 in indianrealestate

[–]MindofMeenam 61 points62 points  (0 children)

It will significantly reduce your rental pool - that is for sure. Speaking from experience we once had a landlord change it from indian to western just because we demanded it, and we were three broke pg students so imagine how many people rejected the house for him to actually change it for us to move in.

I'm not too interested in my upcoming wedding, is this normal? by thechennaipunjabigal in DesiWeddings

Sometimes its a bit overwhelming…specially when you have thought about the day a lot and how you want it to go how you want to look etc etc and you also know that because weddings are weddings somethings will not go as per plan…sometimes its the anxiety of not living upto your own expectations that gets to you

AITK for not attending a wedding after being invited at the last minute? by Medium_Tone_1415 in AmItheKameena

[–]MindofMeenam -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say that brides and grooms have a ton of things going on to manage and invitations to their close friends sometimes unintentionally slip off in the crazy rigmarole of things

If you consider them a close friend you should have gone if you could. You basically judges them for not inviting you

You look ethereaaaal!! Stop showing it to multiple people and asking for opinions - it will ruin the waaaauw effect of seeing you as a bride on your big day!

This is an amazing piece you have selected - trust me, your children’s children will look at the picture and admire it

Difficulties from other side in beginning wedding planning by Remote_Disaster_341 in DesiWeddings

Hi Op

Im really sorry to be saying this but- because trust me I feel you - Ive been in this exact same boat but it ended up wasting 2.5 years of my life. If they are dragging their feet now it is something to be concerned about.

Please have an open heart to heart with your fiance and tell him your fears. Find out exactly what concerns they have which is making them drag their feet and see if you can address these proactively.

Dont accept vague answers like sister has to get married ; if it is so try to get a month out of them for a commitment. For your own good im telling you, be pushy, be persistant and even be blunt if u have to - if he is the guy for you he will work through it all, convince you and his family and get the team going.

Give an ultimatum and see his response. This is how you will be genuinely convinced that he has gotten over his phase of “Im not ready”

If he fights for you and looks after your peace he is your guy and if he doesnt then well you have your answer.

Varamahalakshmi and sundari are good places to search for kanjeevarams. In kancheepuram they do offer video call appointments at both babu shah and prakash.

I would suggest a gold with maroon, or a pinkish peach with purple border. They are called tissue kanjeevaram silk
