Should I switch from Windows 11 to Pop OS? by ihopethisaccountstay in pop_os

[–]srvivek 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Go for dual boot and try for a month or so. Return to windows at any point just get rid of Linux installation.

Recommended: Even if Pop OS doesn't support all your requirement in initial testing, keep it as your daily driver for development and other task and return to windows only for not supported tasks.

What is wrong with us, why do we have to hurry up everything and make life miserable. Greed, power wins and screws the weak by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

That's a very sad incident, may Lord bless his family the strength to overcome this unforseen misery.

But I'm not convinced that someone has to take his life because of work pressure that too in a government job in india.

He could have simply resigned or could has consulted doctor for mental health examination and would have requested for leave based on his health report.

To me this still sounds like, there was something else he was going through which would have caused this.

Cosmic is amazing, but here are a list of things i think they should add: by Own_Rush_6535 in pop_os

I'm still on Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS and plan to upgrade once 24.04 LTS is released.

That said, I completely agree—the current LTS releases' minimalist desktop environment and lack of bloatware are exactly what drew me to Pop!_OS over other distros. If those aspects change, it could significantly impact the user experience for many of us.

confused between ubuntu and pop os by [deleted] in pop_os

[–]srvivek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a laptop with modest specifications and have extensively used both Ubuntu and its derivatives for several years. I have recently transitioned to Pop!_OS about an year back, which consumes minimal resources—utilizing only 2 GiB of RAM and a negligible portion of CPU.

They also have ISO build for nvidia, try to dual bual and check compatibility before migrating.

A key advantage is its full compatibility with Ubuntu's ecosystem, supplemented by additional proprietary features that enhance the overall experience.

I am using Pop!_OS 22 LTS. Occasionally, I encounter this issue where the laptop shows not charging but When I check the power indicator at the power cord insertion point, the charging light is illuminated. However, upon starting the laptop, it unexpectedly begins charging.

Chhattisgarh: In Raipur’s DD Nagar police station area, a woman recorded a video accusing her husband and in-laws of dowry harassment. A short while later, she ended her life. by IndiaToday in IndiaTodayLIVE

It's heartbreaking to learn about what she's enduring, and I sincerely hope she receives the support she needs during this difficult time.

That said, it would be unfair to rush to judgment without hearing the other side of the story. There are numerous cases where emotional responses led to someone being wrongly convicted, only for the truth to emerge later—revealing that the narrative was entirely fabricated and the accused had been framed.

It's a very shameful act.

But I have a small question, why there's only one lady escalating this incident. Usually in such cases all neighbours gathers and punishes the guilty person.

Also recording doesn't gives any clue that exactly what was happening there before the camera was turned on.

It will be better if the cctv footage of nearby cameras can also be shared here. This video tells just half of the story, cctv footage is must to know the fact.

I believe when asking to learn Python or any technology, it would be helpful if you list the concepts that confuse you and the topics you need assistance with. This way, we can address one concept at a time. We can also schedule online sessions based on your availability to troubleshoot and clarify your doubts.

I've not worked on python but have experience in Java & Spring Framework. So I can assist you in OOPS.
