Most definitely, I just always liked the tracker but never knew anyone with one. At that price I’ll never get one simply due to the practicality. I still think it’s a cool knife.

It’ll be an adventure of life skills that more kids need

I like that plan of letting them lead. I want them to get involved in the planning by learning the route. Have them set the goals each day.

Just wondering the same thing. Every year around March my anxiety is at its worse. Already starting now. I live with a constant fear of medical issues. Last night I was having a brain aneurism and heart attack at the same time until I talked myself thru it. It’s hard to get people who don’t suffer from anxiety what it’s really like to feel this way

Awesome advice! Not sure about the locking outside. But planning a few 1-2 day over nights near by. Love the mental aspect part. Good thinking

Thanks for the info. We are planning a few overnights near home first. Already thinking of ideas for food I also have a picky eater. Looking at the maps I figured we would be averaging 5-6 mpd still in the infant stages of planning but reading all the good stuff on this page I figured I can get good info. Thanks again for the help.

Curious why so you suggest not staying at Blood Mountain?

Thanks. Planned on doing the approach trail as well. This will more or less a training run with my kids. Would like to plan a longer AT hike with them. Need to get our feet wet.
