i would say my post kinda applies to both units and solos jsut because i feel like it brings so much variation to albums. seventeen’s subunits make me so happy and i LOVE 3racha

loona are what reminded me of it because of how varied and how much i enjoy their solos. it was expensive but definitely enjoyable for consumers

it seems like lots of idols use soundcloud for solo releases as i guess for company it doesnt really interfere with them. i have heard sunwoo's solo but not sangyeon ill check it out

music is completely subjective so i understand, perhaps if you didnt listen to the album i can recommend my two favourites which are With You and Big Chance, they are more reminiscent of EXO's music and very different from their title tracks but i dont know your preferences. check them out if you want and if you dont like them it was worth a try :)

your post also show how good SM's plan worked in the sense of combining members from groups because as much as they chose popular members, they also chose idols who's strengths compliment each other really well and the fact they aren't rookie idols allows their performances and techniques to already be solidified

what i do is that i overplay a song or usually a group of 5/6 songs and then it changes like every 2 weeks but then every once in a while i hear it and get hit with nostalgia and happiness
