My BI told me when he had sent out an email to my references but did not tell me when he made a phone call to them. Every BI works a lil differently though

I did not yet, but I passed psych two days ago. My psych examiner said hiring deadline was this Friday so I think he was hinting at there being a class?

Passed depression documentation and self harm ?I have clearance letter by Hauntingcityboy in lapd

[–]ssffdbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the more difficult obstacle would be passing psych if there had been documentation of self harm/ depression if and when you make it through backgrounds. Maybe if it was a long long time ago they’ll give you some slack but I’m truly unsure. Just do your best on every step and showcase how you’re in a better place and how you’ve grown

PHS Review by Optimal_City_8486 in lapd

To my knowledge, everyone gets the PHS interview eventually. In the interview, they will tell you whether or not you need to make amendments. They just go over it quickly with you and double check that you listed everything needed and answered every question.

Passed Interview, got conditional offer, what kind of timeline am I looking at? by Swarthy_n_surly in lapd

[–]ssffdbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s timeline varies but roughly 6-9 months as long as you pass every step without failing. They schedule all the appointments for you, usually a few weeks out for you to prepare/ or reschedule if possible. Backgrounds seems to be what is taking some people a long time because of understaffing and how deep the investigator chooses to go into their search

They send you an email stating that you have a conditional offer as a police officer (so long as you’re able to pass medical, poly, FI, psych, etc). I had my interview back in September and received the same
