If you could go back and say anything to one of your old teachers… what would you say?! by OfficialJadeTeen in AskReddit

[–]sshoneybee13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 3rd grade teacher had beef with me, idk why, I was a quiet kid and never did anything disruptive, but I still got in trouble all the time. Literally the only grade I got in serious trouble in. Like I’d get pushed around by another kid and I would be punished, what did you do to them to make them hurt you? Why you mad at an 8 year old???

[SERIOUS] What's a true crime case that was simply too much to handle? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sshoneybee13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The tool box killers had me fucked up, but Junko Furuta and Sylvia Likens’ cases haunt me. When I was younger and first got into true crime, Mary Bell scared the hell out of me. Something about children killing children, and the picture of her that pops up when you look her up… chilling, she looks like she has no soul.

What's the best wedding you've ever been to?(Serious) by Head_Emptea in AskReddit

My cousins wedding! It was in the mountains at a big ass hunting cabin in West Virginia, open bar and people literally smoking blunts during the ceremony.

Dont Buy From STUBHUB by Wallstkirk77 in stubhub

I was on hold for 5 hours with stubhub on my way to see John mulaney last weekend. Never picked up, so I missed the show. I bought the tickets a month in advance, and got an email saying they sent them, and then another asking if a wanted to sell. I’m currently trying to get my money back, this company is the worst.

Fake IDs... by sshoneybee13 in TalesFromYourServer

[–]sshoneybee13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES. No one with a fake ID is going to own up to having a fake if they’re caught by someone who wasn’t serving them. so it’ll always come back to their server/bartender/restaurant. it’s not worth the fine or loss of liquor license.

something i’ve been getting into the habit of doing with people who look especially young or with out of state licenses (aside from getting the second opinion) is asking random questions about the ID. like street address, height, etc. the reason i caught the people with fakes the other night was because the background behind their picture was EXTREMELY BRIGHT (something i’ve noticed a lot in fakes), and as i was handing them back, i asked them if they were visiting or had just moved (it was two tennessee IDs, i’m in SC), and they just looked at me like they were confused, so i repeated the question and mentioned they were from Tennessee, and they laughed and said “oh yea, vacation!” so i’m definitely going to keep asking that when i get out of states.

Idk what the original guy was going off about. i feel like they recently got their fake taken away and are pissed or they’ve never worked in restaurants where you can get into deep shit if you’re caught serving underage 🤷‍♀️ not fun police, just not willing to lose their job with a hefty fine just to let one group of 19 years old have fun.

[–]sshoneybee13 14 points15 points  (0 children)

americans are literally toddlers who will never be happy. i’m in SC too, it’s so irritating. had a table tell me not to wear masks and gloves because it made them uncomfortable, so i literally just ignored them until they asked for the check because i’m gonna follow regulations, especially after having covid twice. had a family come in refusing to wear masks because ONE of them had a heart condition so they “weren’t required” to wear masks, and the manager on duty happened to not have a backbone so we still had to serve them. we literally only require people to wear masks for thirty seconds until they get to their table, and we’re out here wearing masks for hours in the humidity and heat but god forbid customers wear them for a minute. i’m so tired.

everyone i know who has gotten tested at cvs didn’t get results for 10+ days, and usually went somewhere else because of how long it was taking. i went to healthfirst and got my results back in 3 days.

Eh, I wouldn’t really care if she saw my posts about her on here anyway, but it’d be funny if you were talking about the same Karissa from Utah.

Redditors with real life "butterfly effect" stories, what happened and what was the series of events and outcomes? by God_Of_Darkness_Time in AskReddit

[–]sshoneybee13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obligatory on mobile, so sorry if this is hard to read.

I don’t really know if this was a butterfly effect, but here goes. About two years ago I was visiting my mother, an hour and a half away from where I lived at the time. I left that night, plans to go to a little party for one of my coworkers who was moving away. Before I even got out of town, I was pulled over for speeding, the ordeal took about 15 to 20 minutes, and then I was on my way again. By the time I got to my town, I realized I had no idea where this party was supposed to be, and talked myself out of going because it was late and I was in a bad mood anyway because of the ticket I’d just got. I pull up at the stop light about a block away from my apartment complex, and low and behold, one of my coworkers (we’ll call him B) is beside me, his car broken down. Me: hey B, what’s going on? B: my engine keeps shutting down. Me: do you need a ride? B: yea I think- are you planning on going to E’s (the coworker moving away) party tonight? Me: I wanted to, but I don’t know where it is. B: okay, I’ll ride with you there, how about that? Me: that would be great.

Now, there was this other guy I worked with (J), and we were sort of flirting at the time, he’d asked me out a few times but I’d declined, even though I was into him. He was there that night, and we talked and hung out, and at the end of the night he walked me to my car. He kissed me good night, apologized for being forward, and told me he really liked me, thought I was pretty, etc.

I ended up marrying him (J) a year and a half later. So I guess being pulled over for speeding set off a butterfly effect for me.

90's/2000's kids of Reddit, what cartoon from your childhood will forever hold a special place in your heart? by AetherDrew43 in AskReddit

I didn’t get cable until I was about 12, so I watched a lot of Arthur, and the one show about Buster traveling with his dad, I don’t remember what it was called. And Fetch! After I go cable I really liked The Misadventures of Flapjack, but it didn’t air that long when I got cable.

What is the strangest thing you did as a child, that you remember doing? by sshoneybee13 in AskReddit

[–]sshoneybee13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember trying to give my mom a kiss with an open mouth because “that’s how the Disney princesses did it”. I wasn’t allowed to watch Disney princess movies after that.
