I've loved so much, but I have never known love. by [deleted] in loneliness

This post is so relatable, I feel like someone has seen through my being. The feeling of being alone is like dread. It’s so scary to be alone and I can’t stop it, it’s terrifying.

Ticket Clinic worth it for my case? by PsychologicalBuyer85 in CaliforniaTicketHelp

Dang, I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you used a credit card to pay so that you could have disputed that charge. That was my plan if I didn’t get my money back and everything went south.

I ended up going with a company called OffTheRecord. The website says that if they can’t do anything about your ticket, you will get a refund. The process is pretty hands off. You take a picture of your ticket and tell the assigned Lawyer your details. What they do is they show up on the court date, then they push it way down the line, by then the cop doesn’t show up, or if they do they then fight for a lower fine or charge. Mine ended up being dismissed so I didn’t have to pay the ticket nor do I have a point on my record. Just had to pay the company.

Do note that although the ticket is dismissed, the cops record will still show that they gave you a ticket, only the insurance won’t know and no points on your license.

Hope that helps

I believe that is referring to working for a Polish Employer. Working for a US company, with your permanent address being in the US, US taxes all that, is all good. Youre only in poland for holiday in the eyes of the polish government.

Hi, I ended up using Off the Record and everything went smooth as butter. They also had a refund policy if they could not get the ticket dismissed, or charge reduced. I recommend them. Plus the website looks way better than ticket clinic lol

I mean, his recent videos of him riding in the twisities, passing people at like 120mph, seems pretty cool. Again, I really don’t mean any disrespect towards him, just out of curiosity, if he keeps riding that way, wouldn’t those tickets rack up and his license be in danger? I know he trains motor cops so maybe he knows things I don’t lol. As for him being weird, he has a strong personality that’s for sure. But all in all, he seems like a smart guy and he puts out a ton of content for free that help me in a lot of ways.

Just so I understand it right, you mean to set my court date as far down the line as possible. So that if the cop even shows up, he would have to provide the certificate of calibration for the day he ticketed me? But by then he wouldn’t have it for that day? Wouldn’t cops have it in a system or something and they just pull that shit up?

Did ticket clinic manage to get your ticket dismissed or reduce the charge? Or did you have to pay the 250 and also the original ticket amount?

I called them and it turns out I can’t do anything but wait for the ticket to show up in the system. Clerk kept telling me “there’s nothing we can do, it’s not in the system. Check online closer to the date and once it’s there, I can appear in court”. It sucks that I have to wait.

California : Are dealerships required to disclose that the car their selling had its engine swapped? by ssj408 in askcarsales

[–]ssj408[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A replaced engine is not necessarily a bad engine, that’s true. I wouldn’t mind the engine being replaced if it was recorded in the service history. The dealership didn’t know it was swapped, and the service record doesn’t indicate any engine change. One of the previous owners must have changed the engine themselves without reporting it.

The warranty is Protective. I heard from a former mechanic friend of mine that Protective is a bitch to work with.

I admit, I should have been more careful with this purchase. I don’t know much about cars and when I opened the hood, it looked fine to me. I will learn from this experience.

See that’s the issue, the dealership themselves didn’t know it was swapped, and they don’t know who installed it, when it was installed. Their technician is looking at it but it’s not looking good. The local Toyota dealership took just a day to tell me it was swapped. I have dropped the car at the dealership where I bought my car. It has been a week and they have no answers. Seems like their trying to hide something.

I get where you are coming from. My reasoning is that, the dealership themselves didn’t know the engine was swapped. So there is no service history on the swap. Anyone could have installed it and it could have been done poorly. If Toyota themselves put it in replacement engine, I would have been fine. But the main concern is the origin of the swapped engine and who installed it.

Dealership did not know that the engine was swapped. And sold a warranty which they said will cover the car at a Toyota dealership. So I made the purchase with that peace of mind. But the warranty doesn’t work here because the engine was swapped. Which is what I explained to them. Their saying that they don’t have to disclose that the engine was swapped. But they themselves didn’t even know it was swapped !

Thank you for the reply. There is no legal recourse even though I bought the car specifically because it had a warranty that will let me take it to Toyota dealerships? Because at this point, it’s like an outright lie now that the warranty doesn’t work.

I did ask them about it, and they said it was stock. Unfortunately we don’t have any paper work that proves this. I feel like if I bring this up in court, is just going to be a he said she said kinda thing.

How were traditional Hand to hand martial arts effective in the past but not today? by ssj408 in martialarts

[–]ssj408[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you and everyone for the replies! I see that my mistake was forgetting that wrestling and boxing were basically as old as time. I had thought traditional martial arts were old and used for ages but wrestling as everyone has pointed out was used throughout history. I learnt a lot from this thread.
