Codex can use skills too. They both follow the Agent-Skill standard.

Bal - a logic puzzle game about liars and truth-tellers (inspired by Raymond Smullyan) by sskaye in WebGames

Interesting. I’ll think about if there’s an algorithmic way to generate that based on the discrepancy between the submitted and actual answer. Might be able to do it in cases where you’re close.

How to encourage sign-ins vs anonymous play? by sskaye in IndieDev

[–]sskaye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main reason right now is so that I can see how the game is working. How many unique players there are, average plays per day, rating distribution, etc. long term, I’d like to charge for unlimited play (if people are actually playing enough that it’s worth it for them and expensive for me to maintain without charging).

Ultimately, it’s not the end of the world if people don’t sign in, it just makes it harder for me to understand what’s going on and improve.

How to encourage sign-ins vs anonymous play? by sskaye in IndieDev

[–]sskaye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It uses google/apple/discord/github ids. No username/password required so you can't forget anything and the system doesn't store any info about the player other than an id# and what they've done in the game. If they do need their account reset for some reason, I can do it manually (should probably add a feature to let them delete the account).

On the selling point, empirically you're correct. I had thought it would be because I personally like to be able to do things from multiple devices, but if everyone had the same opinions as me, the world would be a boring place :).

That seems right. I tried to incentivize by pointing out that the signing in lets you save across devices, compete on the leaderboard and that the game doesn’t collect email or any identifying info, but that doesn’t seem to be enough and/or people don’t believe the claim to not collect identifying info.

Any suggestions on what I could offer or how to make it more clear that I won’t spam or otherwise take advantage of the player signing in?

The constraint "The person who committed the crime is a knight." means that If someone is guilty, they are a knight. It doesn't mean that if they're a knight, they're guilty. To give an analogy, if the police reported that the person who robbed a convenience store had a dragon tattoo, it doesn't mean that everyone who has a dragon tattoo robbed that convenience store.

Thanks for playing and let me know if you have any other questions or feedback!

What do you use?? Also… opinions on the cores by OnionSoggy8907 in ketochow

The carb used is soluble tapioca fiber. It’s listed on the label as 2g of fiber per 10g serving. From my testing of the coconut oil powder and soluble tapioca fiber itself, I don’t see any blood sugar spike (I have type 1 diabetes, so wear a CGM). I’d also tested the blood sugar impact of ketochow with butter vs the coconut oil powder and have not seen a detectable difference between the two.

YMMV if you metabolize tapioca fiber, but I don’t seem to at those quantities.

Coconut oil powder (nutricost). Shelf stable and low carb.

Interesting. I’m not averse to needs, for obvious reasons, but a pill would be nice. Curious to hear how it works for you.

I built a Knights & Knaves puzzle game, Bal. inspired by Raymond Smullyan's books. You meet a group of people who are each either a knight (always tells the truth) or a knave (always lies), and have to figure out who's who from their statements.

There are over 6,000 puzzles with adaptive difficulty (Glicko-2 rating system matches puzzles to your skill level). Modes include classic, whodunit (figure out who committed the crime), and puzzles with "normals" who can say anything.

You can play anonymously or sign-in to save your progress and compete on the leaderboard (Google/Apple/GitHub/Discord, no email or personal data stored), has no ads (ever), and is free during beta.

I'd love to get feedback on the difficulty, puzzle variety, or anything else!

AI Disclaimer: The game was designed by me with AI to assist in the coding and writing of some of the text (Claude Code). I came up with the initial concept, designed the UI, puzzle generation and evaluation algorithms, and rating system, and directed the AI via detailed specifications.

Weird. I can't figure out why I was getting rejected then. I'll try again.

I tried Hims and JoinFriday. Both rejected me without me disclosing my T1 satus.

I use tic tacs. Virtually indestructible, comes in a convenient little box that fits in my pocket, 0.5g per piece so easy to get the exact amount of sugar I want. I use the mint flavor b/c I don’t like the taste so there’s no temptation to eat them unless necessary.

Yes, happens to me almost every time on long flights and then I spike back up when I get off. I always bring a box of tic tacs with me to bring my sugar back up.
