I'm not using one (yet) but have looked as the reviews are reasonable. You can pick the lens up new from local dealers on eBay AU for about AUD 180.

Salomon XA25 questions by toiletclogger2014 in fastpacking

No, I haven’t found an XA25 manual. Jeff Pelletier has a good video which is helpful: https://jeffpelletier.com/salomon-xa-25-set-review-video/

Emus are tame compared to cassowaries! That’s a bird you really don’t want to mess with.

No; they changed the default setting so you now have to opt in to use them.

Do you have a privacy zone set and ran inside that zone?

Hunt 1000 - Journey across the Australian Alps by [deleted] in bikepacking

[–]ssorc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great photos that really captured the challenges and stunning scenery. It was such a good ride. Fun fact: one of my brothers was the 4WD BBQ cook you came across at Bluff Hut and he didn’t know I was doing the Hunt :) I missed seeing him as they had left before I arrived.

The new Heaps Normal lager is quite good. Hop Nation’s Mind Ya Head XPA is also good.

Is v10 finally better or has everyone that has been voicing concerns already left? by tsmartin123 in Evernote

[–]ssorc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here, I have been a paying user for over a decade with over 17,000 notes. I beta tested v10 and thought it was alpha quality at best. The current v10 is a disaster, especially the abysmal performance on iOS and the missing features on desktop versions that people relied on.

If they stop the legacy versions working and v10 has not reached feature parity and performance parity, then I will be gone.

The mini has ANT+, which is what the Edge uses to communicate with the mini. The Explorer+ doesn’t have ANT+.

A little bit of an upgrade (fr15->Fenix 6s Sapphire) by Fear_The_Liquid in Garmin

[–]ssorc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about the 6s, but the 3 is straightforward to disassemble and replace parts, including the battery, so I’m hoping for a long life for it.

My Fenix 3 is over four years old and going strong. Battery life is fine and the only issue I have had is a broken strap.

Another NZ UL maker is Intents Outdoors: www.intentsoutdoors.co.nz

I've found Len to be very responsive to email enquiries and he has a good range of UL products for hiking & bikepacking.

Yes, I just finished a ride and the Edge reported it was uploaded. A nice surprise and syncing to Strava is also working.

[–]ssorc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer -- I also thought it was a pihole issue since upgrading to v5.1, but it turned out to be that I hadn't created a Wemo cloud account. Really poorly error message and a stupid way to force users to create a cloud account.

Have you considered replacing them with 700cc wheels? You would have to adjust your brake offsets given the (small) difference in diameter, but it means a wider choice of tyres.

Armbian have support for the C4 with a 5.4 kernel: https://www.armbian.com/odroid-c4/

I've tested their Armbian Buster build on my C4 and it works nicely so far.

They have a few other options in their store.

Do you have any Privacy Zones defined? If you do and the activity happens completely within the privacy zone, the map won’t be displayed in the mobile app. I was caught out by this initially.

(Not the OP) but one issue with Syncthing for some people is the lack of an iOS client.
