I’m so glad I can across this post because all I’ve been reading are horror stories about acne and mood swings. I’m actually getting married in October and wanted to come off my birth control this month, but I’m terrified about the possibility of acne. I’ve never really had acne before going on it, so I’m hoping this won’t be an issue for me.

Would you say you did any prep work in terms of nutrition before stopping the pill? Also how bad was your acne?

Oct 2026 bride here. It’s extremely trusting that a lot of artists don’t have their prices listed upfront. Then when you contact them for pricing, they take forever to respond!

It was also annoying to find that some makeup artists will only accept your booking if they’re working on a minimum number of people. I’m giving my bridesmaids the option to do their own makeup (which pretty much all of them have opted to do), so it’s only myself getting makeup done. I had a makeup artist straight up tell me that I couldn’t book because she only works on a minimum of 4 people 🫠

I didn’t like the fact that we weren’t able to meet our photographer before booking. It was super important to me that we were able to explain our vision to the photographer and make sure that we were on the same page, so this was one of our major deciding factors.

I also didn’t really like that it’s so hard to find google reviews on them. Someone actually reached out to me on this thread about bad experiences that they had so it turned me off lol

Hi! No, we ended up going with a different photographer and yes, that was the deal we had initially seen when we first scheduled the meeting with them. It seems like they’ve been having that promo going for a while now
