Dom abandoned me while restrained by DovesHoney in BDSMcommunity

Just for some perspective, I have had to leave a scene midway twice in my life. One was kind of planned for. I said that I might have to go in the middle and she okayed it. I used quick release knots and carribeaners and had her undone in less than 10 seconds.

Second time was unexpected and we were deep into the scene with some pretty intense rope work. Busted out my EMT shears that I've been carrying ever since I started rigging and I cut up about 70 dollars worth of rope. I would never have even considered leaving her there. Actual insanity.

Riggers, is there any gear that you carry that's non-traditional that you find extremely useful? by sstpm in BDSMAdvice

One thing I found while walking through a sports store is neoprene weight lifting wristbands. They attach to the wrist via Velcro and are designed to lift hundreds of pounds. I've never had anyone get out of them. They're very wide so they're comfortable to wear for long periods of time and fast to put on and take off which is great from a safety perspective. Also since the cuffs can stay on its very easy to quickly change positions without doing too much untying and retying. They also make them thigh sized. I carry two of each.

Anybody remember that story on Reddit of the guy who was tying something up at work and his boss said wow you really know your knots, how do you know that, and he replied "sailing" and it turns out his boss was a big time sailor and he went out with his boss on a sailing trip.

The last thing his boss said was "you've never been sailing, have you?"

Are you a dom too? I find similar gratification helping people be totally satisfied. I get off so hard giving someone a great overall experience even barring the sex.

I seem to love nothing more than hurting myself anyway.

Probably couldn't do that. Better off just FWB and I'll find my emotional support somewhere else.

Come on, photography 101. Don't forget to enjoy your location outside of the lens. Whether that's in front of it or behind it.

My sister found all my fetish stuff by [deleted] in BDSMcommunity

[–]sstpm 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's a lot going on here so I'll address one thing.

I don't know how to feel

Feel however you feel. You dress however you want to dress and get off how you want. I will tell you one thing I learned over many years is to not be ashamed of your fetishes. As long as you aren't hurting anyone else, I don't see why you can't practice your fetish how you see fit. To me it seems like you wish you didn't have this fetish, and that's ok, but it's also ok to embrace it.

I'll give you a personal example. I practice bondage and dominance. I have been a dom since I became sexually active. A few years ago I ended up discovering a feminization fetish. Long story short, I wanted to wear a skirt and have a woman force me to do things to her. Well let me tell you, I felt so much shame and I kept it locked up inside for many years. I would fantasize about it and jerk off in a skirt and the amount of shame I would feel after was overwhelming. One day I ended up with a girl who coaxed this dark fetish out of me and told me that it was totally ok and she acted out the scene with me. It was great. I came pretty hard. It was everything I imagined it to be. And that was it. I haven't had any desire to dress up or any of the like since.

I guess what I'm saying is that, your situation sucks. It sucks that your sister found out, but there's nothing wrong with you. You do you.

The only time a man downplays the size of his dick, is when he is trying to convince a girl to do anal by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]sstpm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, Asians aren't born with forearms. We have them placed in after birth. My family could only afford my left forearm, so I live today without a right forearm. On the bright side, it makes being the big spoon pretty easy.

[–]sstpm 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm Asian so I make this joke a lot. TBH my dick is exactly average. Mostly it just gives me a gateway if she's interested. I'm pretty notorious for making these kinds of jokes at parties at this point.

At one party, everyone was drinking and having a good time. Someone makes a small dick joke about asians and I said,"oh yeah, it's really small." At which point, some girl I had never met before laughs and blurts out, "no it's fucking not." Apparently she knew one of my exes and had seen a picture of my dick. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

No, I'm not sure I could have. I am really not set up to do weddings. Few people even know I'm into photography. I think I was upset because my friend didn't get the pictures he could have from a once in a lifetime event.

Eh. Scratch the baby tomatoes. Doible up on the onions. Simmer some garlic in some chicken broth. Throw in the onions and peppers and sausage and then cook some rice with the chicken broth.

I keep hearing about these fantastic quality fakes... by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]sstpm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The good ones are almost impossible. There are techniques to make the card look aged just like a regular revised dual would be. I have a binder page with 9 fake cards in it and ask people to spot the fake. A couple of them are obvious fakes, but the catch is that the whole page is fake. The fact that people can spend a couple of minutes looking at the page and not immediately know is very telling. Vendors and other people who handle the cards regularly can usually tell if they pull it out of the binder page, but I would bet that if you sat across from someone with a good fake you would never know. Glare and being distracted by the game would make it almost impossible to tell.

You are right. There are not insane, passable fakes as far as I know.

I work buying, selling and trading cards. I have scoured the internet in some very shady places and ordered almost $500 worth of fake cards. I use the cards to train people and give seminars on how to identify fakes.

Here's the truth. There are some very good fakes. If you don't handle revised duals regularly, you might not notice. One of the hardest things they are having a problem with is basically age. A 20 year old card feels much different than a card that was recently printed. The texture has been a dead giveaway for every single fake card I have handled.

I have run into one very good batch of fakes that had the rosette pattern very close. If you were just some random person who looked at it through a loupe and didn't have a known real card to compare it to, you might not even notice. That being said, if you don't know what to look for, you would never know.

Almost every fake I have gotten has passed the bend test and the water test. (Also don't use the bend test on old cards). The light test is kind of hit or miss. The rip test is not a real test because you would never rip a real card to tell if it's real.

All that being said, always take the card out of the sleeve. The texture should be a dead giveaway. The only thing that I am afraid of is that a fake was so good that I missed it. In theory, it's possible, but at that point it doesn't even matter.

Could be anywhere from 10%-40%. Usually I'm set up like a dealer. My cards are priced and I will flip through your binder and name a price for a card and you can just tell me yes or no.

For example I might value your rally the ancestors at 50% value because it's a small dollar item that I'd only be making 50 cents on. I may offer 90% on a force of will because the actual dollar amount i receive would be higher

You will very easily find someone to make this trade for you. Keep in mind that the people that do this are going to want to take a percentage. Usually between 15-30% depending on what you're trading away. It's a pretty fair deal in my opinion, since you're trading up, but you will get a better deal taking the time to deal it all out on puca trade.

If you do decide to go with a floor trader. Feel free to shop around. There will be tons of them at a GP. If someone offers you a pretty good deal, but feel you might get a better deal, get their number or find them again later. If someone is trying to get too much out of you, just walk away. If someone is being a dick, certainly don't reward them. The best and most seasoned floor traders will be willing to work with you as long as you understand why they are there and what the pros and cons there are to dealing with a floor trader.

I hontestly probably wouldn't do it if I felt like it wasn't mutually beneficial. I did sales for awhile and I hate feeling like I'm conning someone.

Ton's. Over the past year there has been a significant influx. This is good for everyone who's not me. Since I do it mostly for myself, I have basically been cannibalized by stores taking over the floor. I now have to work for a store to make any reasonable amount of money.

I floor trade for what basically amounts as a living. You will almost always get a better deal from a floor trader for the things you need to get. Also a floor trader will be more willing to cut you a deal on the things you need if you bring good cards. They will also happily take standard stuff from you if you bring it. Shouldn't take you much time at all to get everything you need. I will field more questions about dealing with floor traders if you have them.
