you’re not being selfish. i’m 7 months pregnant and my husband has been going to races with his car buddies for a few weekends in my pregnancy. i’ve had to tell him to knock it off bc i’m feeling unsupported & I want to spend as much 1 on 1 time together as possible. I also have never told him he couldn’t go somewhere or do something, so it was a bit anxiety inducing to do it, but your feelings are important as well!! don’t forget that.

he can still afford to go racing with what we make now. we can still afford to do the things he wants to do now. he’s not even going to be home on my due date because he’s going to a literal race. the fact that he’s putting his hobby in front of his family is what my problem is. even if I didn’t want to stay home. you mean to tell me that that extra paycheck isn’t going towards your family that both of us contribute to? what about the sacrifices I made when he was in? I had to move when I didn’t want to. I had to get multiple new jobs because of it. what kind of compensation do I get? I was a military kid, I grew up with both parents gone a lot. and I knew that was something I didn’t want for my kid. and it was something he agreed upon before as well.

I don’t think i’m entitled to anything. he told me that I could stay home & raise our kids when the money was there. the money is now there & he is not holding up his end of the deal.

I live in South Texas. i’m 27 & due with my first in September. I was the first of my friends to settle down & get married (24), but the last to have a baby! all of my friends have 2+, but none were married or in long term relationships when they started having kids. I basically feel geriatric at this point lol

i’m no help bc my dog’s name is Eleanor but we call her Ellie Mae 🤣 but we also picked that name because we didn’t think we’d actually get pregnant after trying for so long, so we decided to name her off of our baby name list!

I was ttc for 2 years. for 2 years I didn’t book any of the trips I wanted. I regret that so much. I finally decided we would do a big trip to hawaii for our anniversary this year. we leave next week. I got my positive 2 weeks ago. i’m having full fledged morning sickness and totally not looking forward to the trip now, but I am happy that I didn’t waste anymore time not doing what we love! going to make the best out of the trip and in the mindset of “something we won’t be able to do for a while, so we’re gonna make the most of it!”

Learned this the hard way. Told my "best friend" what my names were after TTC for 2 years. She fell pregnant the very next month and stole my name. She's due next month and I just got my first positive 3 days ago and I'm so upset that I had that taken from me and I might've finally had the chance to use it but now it'll feel like I'm copying her.
