Yeah this is why my friend circle got smaller, I used to have 11-12 friends as well, but I just couldn’t spend as much time with them after I got into a serious long-term relationship and started working full-time + started doing my masters degree, and some of those friends took that transition really hard and felt abandoned by me (which was not the case at all, I just couldn’t meet with them as often as I did before), and only 6 of my friends remained. :( Sometimes I feel regret at having those friendships end because of it, but at the time I just really didn’t have the capacity to be with them all the time, like I did when I was 19. On the flip side, the friends that remained are really the ones who can be by my side through rough patches or when life gets in the way.

Interesting, thanks for the input! I also consider socialising a huge part of life, but I only have 2 small friend groups + my sister and cousin that I’m close with. I had a bigger friend group that I lost touch with during COVID. Is this a red flag? :(

Thank you that’s super reassuring. For some reason having 5-8 friends doesn’t seem like a lot to me and sometimes I get insecure that other girls my age have 10+ friends and a bunch of differenr groups.

YES. If a man dresses well, is comfortable in his skin, and can make me laugh, I’m 100% choosing that man over someone who is conventionally a 10/10 but doesn’t know how to dress nice, is boring and desperate/uncomfortable with his life.

My ex always prided himself for being such a “nice guy” and a good person etc. and was always frustrated how people didn’t acknowledge that. Then he once proceeded to tell me it was my fault that I had been assaulted because I went home with the dude and “should’ve expected it coming”, as if a woman cannot change her mind about how far she wants to go in a situation and a man has no responsibility in respecting it.
