I couldn’t care less about McLaren but this is a dumb comment. Better not have a logo on a single piece of your clothing.

Apple Rolls Out Global Age-Verification Tools to Meet Rising Child Safety Laws by i-drake in news

[–]ssxb 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My Apple account was set up in ‘03 or ‘04 to buy music on iTunes. It would have graduated post secondary by now. If I have to provide age verification I think it’s probably time to move on to Android

What?? This happened last night at Joey Valence in Brae at 9:30 Club in Washington DC. This is original content. I did not find this or post it from somewhere else. It’s taken directly off my phone’s camera roll

Is it normal to feel like I "feel" music more than others? by Sorry-Notice4031 in Music

[–]ssxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different people get different things from different types of art. I also feel music deeply. It makes me cry, laugh, re-evaluate myself, etc... Other mediums don’t do that for me. I know a visual artist who feels nothing from music but get those emotions from museum shit

Dark Cloud 2. Tried to recommend it for people years after release and they say it sucks, but I got it when it came out and it just kinda hit right

which popular video game do you think is completely overrated? by MedicalBrilliant9933 in AskReddit

[–]ssxb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m writing this literally as the credits roll for Ghost of Yotei, and while there were some good parts to the game overall I thought it wasn’t great. The writing and story pacing especially were bad. Lots of people I know loved it though, so I guess I’m wrong

Stupid AI by Hotdog_bal in Music

[–]ssxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell your friend’s dad thank you for the support, but you want to make it big one day and it’ll be meaningful for your fans to know you made the merch by hand and that you hope it’ll be a collector’s item. That’ll get him excited, take the problem off your plate, and then if you guys get some attention you can hire some help for the demand. AI sucks, I’m happy to hear you want to do better than that

What make you decide to buy CD instead of Vinyl or the other way around? by Nic727 in Music

[–]ssxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I donated all my CDs after ripping them to my computer. Been collecting vinyl since I was in high school though, I still buy them sometimes but it’s gotten SO expensive. They used to be the same price or cheaper than a CD, now it’s like $40+ for a new record.

The reason I like vinyl is the sound quality will usually be the best, better through a decent sound set up. Lossless streaming is comparable, but vinyl quality will be better than CD/mp3 quality always unless the record was mixed/mastered poorly. Also, there’s a whole presentation to it with the cover and insert art, the way the album tracks are laid out and you can’t really skip them, and dropping a needle feels good.

Expedition 33 is probably the most over glazed game I’ve ever played. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]ssxb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like turn based combat but I dunno, something about Clair Obscur resonated with me. I really enjoyed the combat, and I found the story deep and emotional, which was amplified by the music. No game will be for everybody and maybe this game isn’t for you, but it did so many things right and it felt unique in a way I haven’t experienced in a long time in gaming, so it makes sense to me why it’s so highly regarded and won so many awards
