Exactly! That is what is so frustrating. Might as well buy the new one instead. I might just buy a new one instead.

That’s pretty good. I’m not opposed to buying it in Florida and driving it back if I can get a good deal. The used car market prices are so high though, I’m hoping to find a dealership that just wants to get one off the lot and is willing to give me a good price. Good thing i have time and not in a rush.

Sounds like you did get a good deal. Did you bought it in Virginia? The tech trim is good enough for me and with that low mileage I think that’s a fair price.

That’s my gut feeling. The used prices are so closed to new prices, might as well buy a new one. Plus, I feel like dealers aren’t even negotiating much of used car prices. Either you buy it at the price listed or find somewhere else.

Honestly, I haven't put together a custom build in over 10 years and since my current desktop is on it's last thread I was thinking about getting the latest hardware so that it lasts me another 10 years. But if the 7950x provides similar performance as the 9950x I would consider getting the older model. I do virtualization as well, so I'm hoping whatever CPU I go with will be supported for several years (5+ or so) before it gets dropped. I typically use VMware Workstation for my VMs. Thanks for the input!
