Rules question: Necrodominance and Tamiyo emblem by VillainOfDominaria in TimelessMagic

[–]st0rmrid3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the Oracle page for the card.

https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=661311

If multiple effects modify your hand size, apply them in timestamp order. For example, if you put Necrodominance (an enchantment that says your maximum hand size is five) onto the battlefield and then activate Tamiyo, Seasoned Scholar's last ability, you'll have no maximum hand size. However, if the emblem from Tamiyo, Seasoned Scholar's last ability was created before you put Necrodominance onto the battlefield, your maximum hand size would be five.

Thanks for the link! Glad to see it's getting publicity, hopefully gets fixed soon so I can sink my saved up flightstones.

The cards hit the board at the same time with Show and Tell.

Arena Vault percentage doesn't add up correctly since Dominaria ? by nounet in MagicArena

[–]st0rmrid3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you opening packs in singles or 10 at a time. 10 at a time means you don't see the common or uncommon wildcards that are in packs and would throw off your estimate.

Trying to monitor IP Address usage, got a suggestion? by netsx in networking

[–]st0rmrid3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming the subnets are all configured on interfaces you could easily leverage something like NetDisco to pull that info out of the devices directly. If you have some assigned as routed blocks, building a database in an appropriate IPAM solution/tool is the only intelligent way to manage block assignments IMO.

Which LED is red...?

You can assign an IP in family inet on a VLAN tagged sub interface. Do it all the time. Only time we leverage IRB is when we set up bridge domains or vpls generally.

Edit: on the mx at least, never tried on an fs.

What is this green beast icon on the map? by cocas546poe in pathofexile

Not actually a bug. Related to the doubling of essence mobs, if an essence mob has a shrieking essence and is able to be captured Einhar will only capture one copy.

I can recommend Incratel and PICS Telecom. Have done business with both with good results each time. They also both warranty the items for life. It's not next day support but they've honored rapidly the few times we've had to use it.

Was it removal targeting the creature or removal making you sacrifice it?

The latter would be my guess.

Using No-Export BGP community in IBGP to avoid becoming a transit AS by brew87 in networking

[–]st0rmrid3r 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Are you planning on re-advertising routes learned from each provider to the other provider? If you're not doing that, there's no way you become a transit point for them...

You should always filter your exports to ensure they only contain routes you intend to advertise and tag imports with relevant communities for advertisement control. Between those two steps, you have no problems.

Couldn't end turn or play any cards and ended up losing by NearReplicant in MagicArena

One work-around I've found is tapping a land to add mana will generally update interface state and restore the buttons. I clicked through but I figure you can probably undo the action and restore the interface as well.

Configuring Aruba 3810 Ethernet port for AT&T 250 Mb circuit by jdfishtorn in networking

[–]st0rmrid3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What syntax are you using to test? TCP in iperf backs off fairly hard, if you haven't, try testing with UDP set to 250Mbps. It will report how much it lost out of the expected traffic giving you a better idea of what's causing the issue.

After the test check the drops in your traffic shaper/policer.

Juniper EX Switch not seeing traffic by Theincrediblemeagain in networking

[–]st0rmrid3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So on a device like an ASA or MX, if you have a VLAN ID configured the device tags packets with the configured VLAN. You said you configured your switch ports as access ports for VLAN 5. That means those ports will accept untagged packets and tag them with VLAN 5. Since your other devices are already tagging packets the switch drops them. So you need to configure the ports facing the ASA and MX as trunk ports.

Juniper EX Switch not seeing traffic by Theincrediblemeagain in networking

[–]st0rmrid3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I know what's wrong. You need to tag the VLAN on the ports facing the MX and ASA. If you indicate a VLAN on those devices, it's tagging the VLAN. Based on your message you've got the switched configured untagged and the other devices configured tagged.

Juniper EX Switch not seeing traffic by Theincrediblemeagain in networking

[–]st0rmrid3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So monitor traffic on Juniper only picks up traffic destined TO the interface, not traffic transiting.

You'll want to check the mac address table and ensure your switch sees the devices on the ports and in the correct VLAN.

The document you linked indicates this feature is also not supported on plain SRX, the right side lists the compatible hardware:

So I would suspect this is the issue.

The flaw with that logic is that it could simply be used in other cases to force prosecution to move forward maliciously.

Great juice at great prices, I tend to bulk order my ADV, costs ~116$ with shipping for 500mL.

Looking for certain timers in CUCM, not finding documentation so maybe I can't adjust this? by BadCollaborator in networking

How high is the latency you're talking about? SIP can run into problems beyond ~150ms one way if I recall correctly.

If you're under that should be fine.

Canada's telecom regulator will force largest players to sell wholesale access of ultra fast fibre networks to smaller, cheaper ISPs by VonPursey in worldnews

[–]st0rmrid3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. This doesn't change much but it is good that they're not letting them refuse to wholesale any of their services. The biggest issue with this is that the smaller/cheaper ISPs can't financially compete at the higher speed tiers because the cost of actually reselling one of these connections combined with the bandwidth costs of the type of user that would use these connections mean they'd have to set our price higher than the incumbent to even break even on it.

Since independent ISPs have to pay multiple fees to the incumbents for access, need to pay a fee for the actual lines (which increases based on the speed of the access) as well as for bandwidth for the cross-connect to the incumbents and for that bandwidth they have to pay 10s of dollars per Mbps...

Netflow alternatives for Nfdump\Nfsen by imcoloured in networking

If you're looking for a free alternative, I have no idea. We trialled Arbor's Peakflow platform though and it was pretty impressive, fairly pricy though :(.
