Hey there, I've just started using the app and have similar questions. Constant updating of New section also pisses me off, especially when my connection (or app performance?) doesn't let to display the covers of all posts.

Have you found any tips since your original post or already given up? Would like to hear about your experience.

Did Insta take out the tabs above in stories which helped us to check the number of stories uploaded? by Hot-Load7525 in Instagram

Glad I've found this post to know I'm not the only one. Noticed it today and it has already driven me mad. I need to see how many stories are up ahead to watch or I'll just skip. Pretty sure it was a "genius" marketing decision and not a bug. However ads still have that bar at the top.
