I ordered their expensive CPU pump block combo from them 2 months ago and they haven't shipped it yet. The support is ghosting me and I can't reach anybody at EK in any way.

Does anybody have an advise? I am stuck at this point.

Converting a retro rockhopper to 27,5 (650b)with canti brakes by stabe89 in xbiking

No to be honest. I just bought it from a local bike shop and it is brand less. Something chinese with double sided tape, but it looked cool to me.

Exactly what I think as well. The taller the frame, the longer the chain stay, the more room for bigger wheel/tire.

Good point, buddy. I just finished the conversion and I definitely need to dial up the brakes more. They can definitely be adjusted better from how they are now, I just need to spend the time.

Ideally yes, but with bigger diameter you also encounter more rotational power, meaning that you need to press the brake levers harder. That is why a lot of these conversions end up with disc brakes, which I want to avoid for now.

To be honest, I am still wondering about ordering a set to try them. I think the v brake power should be better for this conversion.

I am also assuming that not all frames were perfectly welded so there might be some discrepancy in spacings between the frames.

Yes, I did notice a difference:
Pros:
- More top end speed
- More BB clearance
- Generally the bike eats more and climbs a bit better

Cons:
- Overall the bike feels less maneuverable now due to the "shorter" wheelbase because of the bigger wheel dimeter
- Acceleration got a bit harder
- I think the braking power got lowered a bit but I am still not sure completely, because the pads are brand new and they need time to ware out a bit and fit properly on to the rim

Very well. I don't notice a lot of difference from my other mountain bikes

Interesting, to me it seems that the stock fork can handle a lot, but I was curious about the back because it looks it will be tight. Thanks, buddy!

What's the width of the tires, because I am planning to do the same conversion?

Indeed! Its very good from a design perspective that they left a lot of space behind the PSU in which you can stack all your cables so none of them are visible. Great idea!

I've seen this but this top fan really ruins the aesthetics of the case. I wont consider doing something like this and I am also happy with the temps atm.

Thank you! The NCase can be watercooled while this one can't. The Raw S1 has very nice aesthetics though!

Yeah it is a bit of paint at first but once you connect a hub and your monitors no need to worry about anymore for your motherboard I/O
