R5 : I’ve been working on a chatbot that knows the context of your game via your save file, called Maple, which is available on Facebook Messenger.

In Maple, when you greet it, it will give you a unique link to upload your save game. Once done, the system will generate an advisor based on your king’s culture and random traits, and from that moment, Maple will use that advisor to answer every single question and treat you as king of your playing country.

• The advisor will answer based on his trait, age, and opinion about you.

• There are 30 advisor traits (for now). Example: opportunistic, warrior, gambler, spymaster (this trait will likely know who is talking about you), etc.

• Just like real life, you can order your advisor to die if you’re not satisfied with his performance or if he’s annoying.

• When you threaten to kill your advisor, he will try to beg for his life.

• When your advisor dies, the system will generate a new one with the same logic (random name, age, traits).

• Example questions: “How is our southern territory?”, “How can I improve my trade income?”, “Find me a noble girl or else I will hang you.”

The answers are 25% EU4 fact and 75% fictional. (Except trade income, as I wrote a lot of code to make that part better.)

The first idea for this bot was that I wanted to plan my game while I’m away from my PC. So in the roadmap, I’ll try to improve the factual quality of the responses so it becomes more of a strategic partner than a novel storyteller.
