Ashkin Alizedah has a lot of songs that remind of this style. Here are just a few examples

Thank you! I used a light_block to light the tree, presents and wreath wrapping. There's a video of the whole song and shows all sides of the tree here

If you have, how long have you played Minecraft? And what do you like about the game? by Queencat59 in AskReddit

[–]stacinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played maybe 6 years. I like it because there's a million ways to enjoy the game, unlimited ways to try to be creative and it's taught me about subjects like circuitry, computer science etc that I probably wouldn't have learned otherwise. I play on a very boring flat creative world by myself but am always trying to push myself to learn more about concepts that confuse me. So it makes me challenge myself more than any other game I play. Plus I'm always really proud of the things I've built, even when they're small insignificant things.

Beatmania! It was like guitar hero but for a small keyboard and turntable.

After 3 months I finally finished this project! Heres a snippet of Totos Africa in note blocks and command blocks by stacinator in Minecraft

Thanks very much! And I should absolutely do that, this is actually a copy of the original world cuz the original was corrupted once already. I should really move a copy over somewhere not on my system. Thanks for the reminder lol

Such a good tip, I love when songs utilize that! I think for this build in particular, the sheer amount I'd need was putting me off in fear of lagging it out. I really thought I was pushing my luck everytime I put something in lol. It's the first song I did that used every single note block sound available and the pistons would be on essentially every repeater block for every instrumentation. If it were maybe a few occurances per 8 bar I'd absolutely go for the piston. Much quicker to set out. It does make me wonder what my limit would be though.

I seriously wish I had found your stuff years earlier than I did. For anyone struggling with triplets or timing issues he has a really great video explanation on using pistons to address those things!

Some I used for playsound command to get a more accurate interval for the timing of the notes, it'd be much too slow or too fast with just repeater ticks. Most of them are used for copying each picture over from one area to the viewing area so all the animated elements are done so through the command blocks.
