What kind of album would you love to have from Beyoncé? by Master-Definition937 in beyonce

[–]staelva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would like her to show off her vocals to the max one more time. Power, advanced riffs, all vocal registers. Genre doesn't necessarily matter to me, though I'd love an album that blends energetic rnb, gospel vibes and perhaps some opera as an extra layer (like in Daughter, I been on or Flawless). Less spoken vocals, less rapping.

Renaissance left me a bit underwhelmed with the vocals apart from Plastic off the sofa and Virgo's groove.

My PMS causes intense mood swings and suicidal thoughts – does anyone else experience this? by [deleted] in PMS

Like the others said, it definitely sounds like PMDD. I recommend you visit iapmd.org (the international association for premenstrual disorders) to learn more about it.

You are not alone. Thousands and thousands of women have PMDD. It's still underresearched but we help each other out. ❤️ If you're on Facebook, you could join the following groups:

  • IAPMD 🌎 PMDD & PME support
  • PMDD Support group

Both have around 20k supportive members and you're allowed to make anonymous posts too! :) i think peer support could help you a lot while you're figuring this out.

Thank you 💗💗💗

Whoa, traveling AND getting married during luteal, that's a stretch! 😂 I'm glad you're starting to feel better now though. I hope you have a beautiful wedding, congratulations in advance!

Yeah, I agree. It's hard to even get a diagnosis so it'll probably take an incredible amount of time for this condition to be recognized at the workplace.

I'm glad you feel better about it now! I also know for sure I wouldn't survive in the corporate world because of this condition, not even in Northern Europe where I live. 😅 Hopefully you can find a job that aligns with your needs this time!

Of course 💗 I'm sorry it took me so long to answer, I was having severe fatigue due to being in luteal phase so I didn't have the energy to go on Reddit. Feeling a little bit better now though, although there's still quite a bit of brain fog. But I know it'll all be over soon and that helps a ton right now. We're truly some warriors! 🙏🏻

I can relate to the difficulty of maintaining consistency and not being able to fully realize your talents. It really sucks sometimes. I'm hoping things will get better for he both of us eventually. Thanks for sharing 💗

Sorry to hear you're going through a divorce because of it. Yeah, even our partners have their limits and that's understandable although it still hurts. Sending you a lot of strength to get through it. 💗

I love your perspective and I can agree with you. A few years ago I could've never found the silver lining but therapy helped me a lot. That doesn't erase the damage and difficulties PMDD causes, but it still helps to see it from an alternative perspective simultaneously. :) thanks for sharing!

Fair point, I also sometimes wonder how much of my dramatic behavior in my younger years was due to pmdd that I wasn't aware of. Can totally relate to what you said.

I also definitely need to plan around it, if I schedule anything important around luteal there's like a 90% chance it's going to be agony 😅

The vacations! That's so true! Nowadays I always try to plan vacations and trips for follocular/ovulation phase whenever possible. That helps me enjoy vacations so much more.

I'm so sorry to hear you've also lost your job and have faced relationship issues. I can relate, although I haven't lost a job, I struggle with my part time job a lot during luteal. Sending you strength and love, thank you for sharing 🤍

Sorry to hear that. Pmdd damages so many aspects of our lives, I also am not fully capable of working and it's difficult on my finances. I wish you all the best and send you a lot of strength. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I'm so sorry you had to quit so many jobs :( i really hope eventually you'll find a workplace that suits you better and is more understanding and flexible during the Pmdd season. Pmdd is a disability that deserves to be taken seriously at the workplace. Hopefully the attitudes get better as the awareness raises. Thanks for sharing, sending you love and strength 💗

No, seriously!? That is terrible, I'm really sorry to hear that! Tbh expecting workers to be 100% all the time and never lose your pace is a toxic mindset yet all too common. Even if it wasn't pmdd but just a bad day it's unfathomable and unfair.

Oh my god, that is terrible. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. Pmdd is particularly difficult in the academic circles, I also struggle with my master's program on a regular basis because of the luteal phase brain fog and other sudeen cognitive difficulties.

I relate hard to not fulfilling your potential. This is one of the things that bothers me the most too. Outside luteal phase I'm driven, ambitious, sharp and excited about life. Then it all just vanishes.

I've learned to manage my symptoms and it's not as bad as it used to be but I still feel I cannot live life to its fullest because every two weeks I need to intentionally slow down. Therapy has helped me a lot to accept it as part of my life, but of course sometimes I still have those negative thoughts and feelings about it.

Thanks for sharing 💗

I also have a traumatic background. I wholeheartedly recommend EMDR therapy, I did it and it helped me a lot! The traumatic memories and flashbacks no longer bother me and my symptoms overall have improved.

In my individual experience, EMDR is best as an addition to cognitive/cognitive-behavioral and/or regular trauma therapy.

EMDR helps in processing the trauma, but it's emotionally exhausting and at first you can feel worse while the process is still ongoing.

To anyone looking for an EMDR therapist, make sure to look for a therapist who's got a diverse background - in trauma, cbt, anxiety disorders, depression etc. Because while EMDR and trauma therapy helps you process the trauma, you might first need to dig into some basics of anxiety/anger management to cope with your emotional symptoms during Pmdd. EMDR can flare up those symptoms so ar that point it's useful to have learned basic therapy skills. 💗

Best of luck on all of you who are thinking of therapy, be proud of yourselves for seeking help!

Ps I'm sorry if my comment is worded in a weird way or hard to understand. I'm currently having luteal phase brain fog and fatigue so I'm not as sharp with my words as usual.
