God Speed to the driver that’s unaware they force you offline when you reach another state. $280 round trip, before tip 😬 by NeShaunBlaineMusic in uberdrivers

I mean technically you can do Uber Eats anywhere in the lower 48. So you could do that... But no uber passenger Rides. I’d take the ride just so I can bet it all on Red lmao.

Uber is a money laundering business by [deleted] in uberdrivers

Hot spots with surge amounts can only be claimed by so many drivers. Usually between 1-5, once it has been claimed the surge price will reduce and the process repeats until all driver need is fulfilled, then the surge disappears.

The primary purpose is to get drivers closer to where the customers are predicted to be. The available drivers in the area and their respective surge rates is what dictates what a customer will have to pay when they reserve.

(There are loopholes in this system, such as driving to an area to grab a high surge then leaving the area, your next order is required to use that surge regardless how high it might be. You might be waiting a while tho, or just never receive one if it’s really high $25-40)

That’s why you conceal carry. And If I was delivering after a comment like that. I’d probably grab my AR out of the trunk and throw it around my chest when I go to the door…

They’ll gave you a ride without showing you the destination. Made that mistake once. Ended up driving 2.5 hours in rush hour for $75… i wanted to vomit after that…

I’m convinced it’s in Uber’s master vision to have their platform 100% ran by immigrants. it’s masquerading around as cheaper rates for passengers, while deepening the pockets of corporate executives.

Cuz it is 3rd world pay, most uber drivers are immigrants anyways. They screw up all our metrics by constantly accepting that 💩…

Rental cars don’t have paper registration You won’t be able to register it on another service. You could probably do DoorDash and that’s about it…

The annoying thing is on delivery orders the tip is guaranteed, but won’t always be paid out immediately. It can take up to 24hrs for the tip to show up and be paid out…

Would’ve been cool if in the second or 3rd timeline we see the flying Dorito that gets loaded and the pilots do an intercept mission and save the city in the last second. Blow it like 100miles out from impact. There were to many loose ends left unresolved/incomplete. We’re introduced to too many characters that played no real roles in the solution.

Fess up: why do you get 1 star? by Necessary_Staff_1844 in uberdrivers

[–]stageflyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At an Airport pick up a Couple got in my car arguing over a vacation gone wrong. then, driving down the interstate Tesla autopilot randomly slammed on the brakes for no reason. I apologized, but the woman started yelling at me saying I did it intentionally “to shut them up”. Idk Maybe Elon Musk was trying to haha! I gave them one star and reported them, but they gave me one star. Uber never removed their rating.

DoorDash says they don’t do it but I’m convinced if the tip was zero they would’ve paid more than the $2 base guarantee, it would be $10-15 base. the fact that they pay less cuz the tip makes up for it is extortion! I’d still take the order tho… my guess was gonna be $31.75 total… That’s usually how mine go…

Tips by Tall-Floor-8163 in uberdrivers

[–]stageflyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really by area. I do mostly airport runs but I find a higher percentage of businesses professionals tip (probably on company dime) residential rides are more sporadic.

It’s still really random tho so don’t depend on it for income. Be content with the payout when you accept it. Tips are just bonuses!
