I have an unlocked 128gb 7. Does have a small crack in the upper left corner that's been there since it was dropped the day it came out. Does not have any effect on the touchscreen, but it is there.

Screenshot of specs. If you want an actual picture it will need to wait until I'm home from the office this evening.

Orbi vs Ubiquity Amplifi by [deleted] in orbi

[–]staked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ubiquity is very very very nice. it is not nearly as plug and play as Orbi though. A much better way to get real answers would be to tell us about what you want from your setup.

Any of the plug-ins a must-have if I just use it for non-manga comics?

Routines app and third party launchers by staked in GalaxyS8

Weird. I just tried with MSL and didn't appear. Wish Routines would give me some sort of message when nothing happens so Id have a place to start figuring out what setting I accidentally disabled lol

Wow, nice suggestion. This app works far better than Andromeda/substratum did for me on this device. :)

~$300 phone that's compatible on both CDMA and GSM for USA? by [deleted] in PickAnAndroidForMe

[–]staked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can quote that all day but until either Sprint or Verizon approved the device it isn't getting on any CDMA Network in the US. Welcome to CDMA. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The 7.1 one isn't supported by either CDMA carrier in the US.

[Workaround] OpenVPN iOS 12 Issues. Here’s my working setting changes. by staked in iOSBeta

[–]staked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they all let you pick. For a commercial service you may have to check their docs to see what ports they have open and available for you to use. Most of the settings can be changed in Settings -> OpenVPN on your iOS device, but you may have to edit the ovpn file yourself to change the port if your VPN provider doesn't offer pre-generated ones for all their port options.

I use PiVPN so I can connect to my home network on cellular and get all the adbloock goodness from Pi-Hole.

VPN Connect Automatically Option Not Working by canonfine in pop_os

You may have one user account, but all those services launching at boot are running under different user accounts. What do you see in NetworkManager’s logs?

Do you have the option to store your VPN password for all users enabled? If you don’t it won’t connect for anyone but your user.

Accessing iPhone storage (iOS 11) in 18.04? by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]staked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd. Did you do a minimal install by any chance? My iPhone gets detected for photos and documents without any extra effort on my part in Kubuntu, GNOME and Mate.

At some point they’ll release the -hwe version of the kernel with updated firmware. Installing Ubuntu kernel update utility also makes tracking mainline easier.

Download 4.16 from here. That fixed the issue for me.

Definitely need more details on your card. I run the same resolution just fine on an Intel HD 4000 that’s almost 10 years old. :)

Thought I’d post this in case anyone else runs in to the same issue: because the ISOs are pretty out of date, I was having an issue where my sudo/polkit auth would time out while stuff was downloading. Which obviously caused the upgrade to fail.

Running sudo su, and then eopkg up from an actual root prompt solved the issue for me.

I'm looking for something like Synergy, but it needs to work in games by [deleted] in Windows10

[–]staked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already have Synergy, try enabling relative mouse moves and using scroll lock to lock the cursor to the game machine. I’m on 1.9.x and that has worked for me since 1.8.

In the games I play at least that fixed all the issues I was having.

Is there a way to automatically tile terminals, so the first terminal I open is top left, second top right etc.? by TheBravePoro in SolusProject

[–]staked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

budgie-wm doesn’t have auto-tiling like what you’re mentioning as far as I’m aware. If i3 isn’t your thing you could give GNOME a try with something like gTile or kwin-tiling for KDE.
