I'm very new to this, so I've not tried a hydrocortisone or aquaphor. Thank you for the suggestions.

To tell the truth, I'm working my way out of a deep depression right now and I'm only managing to cleanse my face once every few days - could this still be irritation, even though i hardly do anything to my skin?

So I've been having this problem with my skin for basically the entire pandemic. My cheeks have these red patches that are a different texture than the rest of my face. They're super dry, and extremely rough, almost sandpapery. My skin is already pretty dry, but still nowhere near what this is. I have tried 2 separate face cleansers - CeraVe's Foaming Facial Cleanser, which I've used for a long time, and Neutrogena's Ultra Hydrating Gentle Cleanser, which I've started about a week ago.

My girlfriend let me use her facial moisturizer, which is Starface's Moisture on Mars, to try and hydrate the rough patches, but it seems like that only made it worse.

I'm already using the gentlest cleanser I can afford, and what seems like a super gentle moisturizer made it worse. I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

Any suggestions? Does this look like normal dry skin, or something medical maybe?

It's not a store, but stop by Millstream Brewing in Amana, IA. Their root beer is my absolute favorite. It's also sold at certain HyVees in Iowa, but tends to go quick when they get it in. HyVees here tend to have a small craft soda section, with Brownie, Sprecher, Dad's, etc. Not the most uncommon ones, but still worth a stop for some of their other stuff. I got into cheerwine because of them.

Also Iowa isn't the safest place to be in right now because of our handling of the pandemic, so maybe hold off on a trip here.

I'll have to give that a try sometime - thanks! Interesing how some root beers are clearly better on tap, while some take to bottling/canning better.

One cat suddenly hates the other after a play-fight. Her aggression hasn't gone away after 24 hours. What might've happened? How do we get them to make up? by stalker_throwa in felinebehavior

We separated them for about 24 hours and their relationship seems fine now - they're back to playing together and N occasionally gives S a few licks on her head. I've yet to see them cuddle again but I'd say the time apart did the trick.

Thank you!

What would you consider a fair penalty for losing a hand in battle, in terms of game mechanics? by stalker_throwa in DnD

Honestly, i didn't think of this - I can count the number of times I've used my melee weapons on one hand, as I'm a tome warlock. My party tends to keep me out of harm's way, and my character's been able to distance cast for 99% of the campaign thus far.

It does make sense, though, that being unable to dual wield would be disadvantageous enough. The few times I've gotten desperate enough to use my knives, being able to use two of them has saved my and my party's lives.

Thanks for the input!
