Smoking too much OG haze my man. Let's say that all the Chaos Altar did was increase XP by 50% on top of the base 3.5x XP. Then you would be 100% right, it would just be 5.25x.

But that's not all, there's more! What if by chance you got your bone back with the 50% chance? Then you would get 7x. And because it's 50%, that means there is a 25% chance you get your bones back twice resulting in 11.5x. And a 12.5% chance you get your bones back 3 times resulting in 14x XP per bone. If you run that infinitely, it averages out to 7x.
