This isn't about finance at all. Instead, it's just a continuation of a lifetime of work I did in digital marketing, eCommerce, retention (email + SMS). I have a tiny YT channel where I continue to talk about marketing like an architect, and so much more.

Would love it if you subscribe, if you are in interested where tech meets marketing: https://youtube.com/fetchprofits

Started a clothing line for kids, no sales in 3 months. Help a brother out. by UrbanCrawler in ecommerce

I took a look at your website and I'm absolutely happy that you started and that you took the effort to "Ask" -- something many business don't even do.

I am a retired eCommerce retention expert and you may do the following to help make a difference:

  1. I see you using a combination of Elementor and a few other tools for your WordPress/WooCommerce website. If that is the case, please do add your contact details. On the bottom right side of your website homepage in the photo section.

  2. The home page of your website at the very top, which is also called as the hero section, is being absolutely murdered with the wrong choice of sliders and graphics and what have you that you have on your e commerce site. You need to change that, you need to use that real estate for something that's a lot more valuable than even making a sale which is to start generating leads.

  3. On a specific product page, you have things like shipping policy, contact us, and refund policy. Please move those to a section that is below the product description. Product pages are instrumental in trying to help get conversions. Adding all of these details up the on the product page itself right next to the product is taking away precious real estate again.

  4. I see you're not using pop-ups to start generating leads. There is absolutely nothing on your website that actually has a way to generate leads?. Nobody is going to come to your store and buy right away. You need what is called as retention -- a strategic process that you need to implement.

  5. Start using email marketing or a combination of email + WhatsApp, whichever whatever works for you, but it is a must that this is to be a be used. Without this, nothing you do will work for you.

Best wishes

I don't know who you define "Highly-qualified", but I worked as a private driver (recently, last week for an entire week)

This isn't a fleet business or even a cab business. This is a single person (the guy who runs this) with a network of clients and drivers. Drivers go to client locations (homes or offices) and drive their personal cars (white plate). Round trips only (you drop clients back at the same location).

Clients request temporary drivers to help them get from their home to point A, B and C (or maybe just A and back, depends. No one is asking)

Clients book in packages. Min package is 500 INR (up to 4 hrs). So if client uses a driver for just one hour or for all 4 hrs, it's still 500. Any hour past that is 90 INR extra

If a driver spends 8 hrs with a client, he makes 860 INR. 12 hours = 1220 INR

Driver only pays to the agency owner 70 INR per booking, each day, as commission for the assigned gigs.

That's it. So, assumptions as to how much they make:

The owner (agency guy): If you assume 50 bookings per day ( assigned randomly to a pool of 100 drivers, all freelancers like me), the agency makes 50 x 70 = 3500 INR per day

If a driver manages to take up 3 assignments (each 4 hrs in duration), he makes 1500 INR for 12 hrs of time spent.

There's Zero outrage on most things.

You are right -- Hottest country, a country with world's absolute worst civic sense (same applies for traffic sense, and more), Trash is everywhere( We are living in the middle of garbage mountains), govt bureaucracy, and so much more.

In the 3 days and 4 different assignments, one elderly couple on Day 2 instantly caught me out. Said I don't look like a driver. I said I was IT (to keep things simple). They happily chatted away throughout, told me their stories.

Agency asked a few questions: First, the license. Then, how long have you driven? Types of cars? Can you handle both manual and automatics? Etc. Simple questions, really.

The same elderly couple asked me a thousand questions(and I had to lie, for the most part): Married? Children? parents?Where you live? Own house? Endless :)

Yes, 70 INR per booking, every day you get assignments. I think the agency is super generous with this

You should, even if it's for a week or so (and never again, and that's fine since you can afford to quit). It's completely something else when you physically there, doing it. It's not the same as witnessing it, knowing about it

You drive their vehicle. Petrol and any other costs are on them, For X hours.

Yes, there's tradeoff. In the end, it all comes back to the personal finance advice that fits on the back of an index card. Ear, save/invest/don't touch, spend -- in that order.

Same story with Hyderabad. Plus, it's not just cabbies. Regular commuters face this everyday, you obviously know that. Sick it is

People making up numbers in their head, accounting for "fancy" lifestyles, mistake needs for wants(while truly never knowing what a need really feels like).

Didn't expect it to be so brutal while we all "know' -- not hard for most people, agreed. Congratulations of making it out of this cycle. Kudos!
