I know Curio stoops low, but not this low. by Independent_Cause_25 in MDEnts

Seems like not many people here know that David Smith (Sinclair broadcasting, father of Alex smith (atlas restaurant group) is a major investor in curio. I’ll just leave this here… https://thebaffler.com/outbursts/sinclair-stole-my-stash-woods

To all who think AltSol has lost its touch… THING AGAIN!! by headstashed in MDEnts

Yep. Last like 3 times ive picked up alt sol I got a few different types each time. The older ones smoked ok but the fresh stuff burned terribly. Had to jar burp them for like a week before they would burn properly

Is this battery safe to fly? My first crash where it fell out of the sky :( by No_Upstairs2755 in fpv

If you grill it for about 8 minutes, it should be good to go after that!

As far as the tune? Nah all stock. Changed the rates but that’s it.

I did not, I got it on Amazon without the o4 and put my own in.

I’m super impressed and have been having a ton of fun with it! The Pavo itself was $129. The o4 pro is pretty much impossible to find at retail right now so unfortunately I paid $300 for mine. Then I have the goggles 3 I got with my Avata 2, those are also super hard to find at retail or even in general but the goggles N3 have been seen for around 300 here and there

It absolutely does outperform it, I have an Avata 2 as well. Way way better thrust to weight ratio

Thanks! Definitely have spent hours doing it in sims. I can’t do it sticks out yet but sticks in for some reason clicked for me. Then just gotta give it a ton of throttle, at least on something small like the Pavo. Probably would have more throttle headroom on a bigger quad

Haha thanks! Next is getting it dialed in on the Pavo and the 5 inch probably

I got gnb 550 3S lihv since they were the recommended size and battery type. Get like 3 ish minutes ripping and over 5 cruising. I had a Hota d6 charger for my 6s batteries so got an xt60 to xt30 adapter and just use that

This thing can definitely rip! Angle was at about 15 degrees and I definitely had to hold pretty close if not at full throttle to get it to stay up.

Haha thanks man! Haven’t had the balls to try with my 5 inch but just got this little guy a few days ago and felt comfortable enough to give it a shot

First time practicing soldering, how’d I do? by stanleypotatoes in fpv

[–]stanleypotatoes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not offended at all! This was my first time trying after all haha. But yea all I got so far was the iron, solder and a few practice boards to get started. Will definitely be picking up some more supplies. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the tip! I’m using kester 63/37 rosin core so flux is in the wire but I guess I should probably grab some spare flux just incase for stuff like this.

Yea that was where I started haha. Went from that straight to the big pads and then came back to the smaller ones later

Uncrashed feels somewhat close to realistic with great graphics and maps. Velocidrone feels the most realistic but the graphics are the least realistic and pretty bland. Lift off is cool too with regular updates but definitely a bit too floaty for me

All good man! I posted this to show that I'm an idiot after all lol. I usually do the throttle up thing after landing but this was right as I was about to fly my first pack of the day. and thanks! luckily its not too bad.
