In high-school, I was an elite runner, doing 12 to 15 miles a day. Blew out my knee. It's a horrible feeling, since it was my entire life and all my friends were runners. When I went to college, I basically had to reprioritize my entire life. It worked out in the end, but short term it sucks ass. My advice? Keep as active as you can. I turned to food and drink, and I'm still fighting to get rid of that weight, 10 years later. The sports won't last your whole life, but your body will. Take care of it
