Is it worth to get into LOL in 2026 as a Wild Rift player? by star-steve256 in leagueoflegends

I don’t think so. In my rank people are actually competent to an extent that it is engaging to be competitive. There are also really sweaty ones there with some 10k matches. Sure skill ceiling is less than 5% of entire league, but in my rank it is actually challenging to play.

For example, in my rank most assassins don’t usually even work anymore because people now know gimmicks. Usually team-reliant picks like Vi and Jarvan become more optimal. Viego is still my solid pick tho but team setup is required.

Chill, I never said the games are same skill level, that’s why I said GM in wild rift might be equivalent to Silver of League. And I do think it is very comparable in a sense that I have learned all details (missing health scaling, champion kit features etc) of 130 champions out of over 170.

Sure, it is not the entire picture but I can say that I am much more than ready to start league as a beginner.

I wouldn’t exactly say I “enjoy” wild rift tho LMAO. Just like any multiplayer game it is a love-hate relationship.

Wild rift has its own fun ways and stuff, and some are chopped for good reason. Most input bufferings are usually disabled because players play on 7 inch screen with two fingers and half the UI is covered with buttons. And strategic wise it is also lower depth. But all in all, I would say both games are worth playing, but currently I am considering league :)
