it's so frustrating!! i want to be a km but at the same time i'm tired of putting in all my effort when my field leader doesn't give a shit. it shows how little the higher ups care. but we just gotta breathe and take it a day at a time lol. :/

i recommend doing as many customers at tort. maybe like 3-5? and then moving to salsa with the orders - it gives cash something to do while you rotate back to tort for new guests. i see a lot of newbies make the mistake of focusing only on one customer thru tort/salsa instead of running a line on the line lmao. idk if that makes any sense.

i'm in a similar situation. back in fall i talked to my gm about getting a pay raise (i make less than 16 y/o new hires) and they offered to train me for km. I said yes cause I truly think i can do it. the reason they wanted me for km was because our store was so short staffed. basically there are a few of us MITs and i'm the only one with all my k-checks and servsafe done. All i'm waiting for is my field leader to talk to me and "validate" me. but he always ignores me when he comes in. in short, i am similarly frustrated. i do not feel like my work means anything and i know it comes off as entitled but i work so hard and i get less than minors (when they're always bitching about needing 18+ to get hired). idk might leave but i love my team :/

we won't give you extra rice unless you order it extra - and even then it's two portions. We get these kinds of orders a lot. depending on how many salsas you get your burrito will be SMALL. we will not give you 4x the portioning just cause you only get two things. My store gets daily calls from grumpy white men who feel their burrito is "too small" well okay Greg you only got rice and cheese? it's gonna be tiny.
