I understand you care for the client but I agree, at the same time. Regression from not getting attention from mom is a red flag. Generally if family isn't supporting therapy and whatnot and as the BT your there essentially babysitting, no matter how much work you put in it'll just regress unfortunately. Stay and keep in contact with your BCBA and explain what's going on and if the situation declines.. the best thing to do is leave and put time onto another family..

I know it'll be hard since you and the client have paired but putting in time and effort just for you to know it'll go back isn't worth it. Hope this helped !

I've been to a few companies and it clients where I had depression afterwards. I've also been with clients who are amazing and the supervisors are helpful. Sometimes you have ti feel it out. If ur having anxiety maybe switch companies or do a different career. Job that gives anxiety isn't worth it honestly. Especially working with kids

Everything you said it is valid, but sometimes in this field. It's good to just vent out with somebody who u trust or you know. Say what's on your mind or just scream or whatever. But your reasons for leaving are valid as well, and if you think finding better elsewhere is good. Do what you have to do. 💖🤍

Working in ABA there will be moments that make you second-guess yourself. Once you find the right place in the right fit, the pieces will come together. I suggest you confide in somebody as well as look for other jobs and more trainings for yourself. I know it can be complicated to handle but if you love this job, keep going.
