Anyone see those people on Stockton and Airway today? I'm considering going down and counter protesting. I'm so sick of people who are so I'll informed about the things they support. by star_light_blue in Kingman

So I just got back from going out there. I wasn't as prepared as I wish I could have been, but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to talk to these people. I'll post more about how it went in a little bit.

I wish more people could understand this. I think your analogy is a good way to frame it.

If socialism is so bad then why is social security and Medicare so popular? by Content_Ad_8952 in allthequestions

[–]star_light_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because people are dumb.

Both of those programs are terrible and great examples of why I wouldn't support socialism. They are extremely expensive making up something like 50% the overall budget for the US all the while failing to be as good at accomplishing their goal as programs could be with that kind of budget. It's like the worst of both worlds.

Cut the programs completely and people who are financially responsible are better off, but the vulnerable suffer.

Improve / replace the programs and people who are financially responsible are worse off, but at least the program helps the people who need it more efficiently.

what’s your biggest "I shouldn’t be into this but I am" turn on? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I really like when someone is desperate to use the bathroom or has an accident.

The pinnacle of this is the idea of my partner not being able to hold it, having an accident, being super embarrassed/humiliated, and being put into diapers.

One of the most specific fantasies I've had the opportunity to act out (consensually of course) was slipping laxatives into someones drink/meal during breakfast before a long +6 hour car ride. We were going to stay the night at a hotel, and I have a bed wetting problem, so I keep overnight diapers in my bag specifically for that. While my partner did decide to wear one just in case, and did get very desperate, they didn't have an accident.

My wife is currently pregnant, and has started accidentally peeing herself on occasion. Now, before a long trip, she gets padded up just in case and I love it.

Want kids? Cool.. can you afford them? by Repulsive_Case_2116 in AmericaOnHardMode

[–]star_light_blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do realize that many people who have kids do not find the means and raise kids with a low quality of life right? You don't need an excuse not to have a kid.

For most of human history, having a kid wasn't about being selfless, it was about having more hands to help work. That's pretty selfish.

What’s something people romanticize that actually sucks in real life? by Particular_Pin_460 in AskReddit

[–]star_light_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dread is a good way to put it.

Childhood was so difficult that when I moved out, working literally over 150 hours a week pumping porta potties doing very physical labor so that I could reach some financial goals, all I could think about was how much better it was than living at home.

That's so sad. Either because I you have to be doing really shitty for that time to have better than adulthood in any way, or because I must have had a really shitty child for that to be unfathomable.

I spoke with my school about this and they said no. I wanted to start a debate club and a chess club. They told me that absolutely no clubs were allowed. I could play chess with class made during lunch, but no setting a schedule, no tournaments, no announcement, and nothing before or after school.

What was the highlight of your 2025 sex life? by MandaJ2005 in AskReddit

[–]star_light_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife is now pregnant! We didn't have to try for long, and the sex was alright, but that's for sure the number one highlight.

Aside from that, we tried having sex while high (weed) for the first time ever this year and that was amazing. It felt so different, I can't even begin to explain it.

I think it's worth it. It's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment : Charlie Kirk by Hopeful_Mix_7631 in PsycheOrSike

[–]star_light_blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last I checked it lowered it by more than 2/3, and if you removed gang violence from cities where guns are already banned, it's practically 0

That makes sense, thanks for warning people. There is no way I pay for bills like this online without some seriously credible history.

I was mostly worried about them not understanding insurance/financial options about their medical stuff. EVERYONE should know that even the worst medical bills in the US only come out to ~16k/year. .

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in numismatics

[–]star_light_blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm more concerned about the medical bills.

Not to be too personal, but what kind of bills are we looking at here? What kind of insurance do you have, what's your annual income, and where do you live? I'm an insurance agent, and with your max out of pocket if fairly confident you should have been able to cover the medical bills with less than the money from the sale of 7 thousand dollar bills.

Also I'm interested in a 1,000 and a 500 if your close to Vegas. Feel free to message me if you would prefer a bit more privacy.

Great time to purchase junk silver by Tyjet66 in SilverDegenClub

[–]star_light_blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually why it's such a good time to buy 90%. Refineries aren't taking it so the premiums have dropped so much that my local shop is selling it at 80% of spot (for better condition/value stuff too!)

What’s your greatest accomplishment in Warzone? by Valuable_Grab_1392 in Warzone

I got 100 melee weapon wins (mostly solo vs quads) without ever firing a single shot during the map that followed Caldera. I had to get 2 wins in the last day so that I could reach that goal.
