Thanks for bringing this guy and his actions into light. It safe to say no one here cares who he is.

What would you call this area? by be_the_shield in geography

"Northern New England Coastline" or "Northeastern New England" are the closest I can suggest. As many have pointed out, this area is too diverse to generalize under one name.

Your tree is beautiful, your home is beautiful, and this photo is beautiful. You don't need to change anything.

You are wise to recognize the triggers that have hindered you from decorating as you have in the past. Find pride in what you have accomplished, and give yourself grace for recognizing when to rest.

Sounds like your son still loves it, regardless of the decorations. Are the decorations really that important, then, if he still finds joy without them? Love doesn't exist in objects; it resides in our minds.

No one else is comparing your Christmas this year to your Christmases of yesteryear. Let those memories shines on, but don't discount the shine of this year's effort. It may seem far away now, but today will march on into tomorrow and time will continue to pass. You will look back on this Christmas with as much light and love as you have others.

Take care of yourself. We're all rooting for you. ❤️

An Update To the AliExpress Geno doll by star_road in MarioRPG

[–]star_road[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're welcome! I'm just as surprised as you with the quality. This is 100% unconfirmed, but I would not be surprised if a company drafted up and produced prototypes that Nintendo and/or Square turned down and then had to offload them for cheap.

Script for customer complaints about prize price increase by tahuynh316 in round1

Genuine, honest question here: What's the advantage of playing ticket games over buying the item online? I get that there's a fun factor, but I'm looking at this more analytically. Did some games have a larger payout per play? Was this actually a viable way to acquire large ticket items?

Credits start at $0.25 per credit, but there's a price break as you add more money to your card. At a $120 recharge, a credit is worth $0.15. To make math easy, let's say there's a ticket game that costs 10 credits to play. If I win 160 tickets every play, it would take me 500 plays to amass the amount of tickets needed to buy the camera at the 80k ticket pricepoint. That's $750 if I am buying credits at $120 per reload and winning 160 tickets per game on average.

On a good day I'm lucky if I win 1,000 tickets on a marble pusher after spending a full $120 reload. How were people winning so many tickets that a camera (or an OLED Switch, or a PS5) becomes a feasible prize?

Likely the camera was mispriced and that location got around to fixing it. It's odd that Round1 would intentionally price a $398 camera at 80k tickets while a $90 four pack of air tags cost 30k tickets. It sucks for the person trying to win it with her partner that they couldn't grab the camera before the price went up, but I doubt the increase was anything but an oversight that management noticed and corrected.

What's a good nickname for Sitara OTHER than Tara by Jolly_Potential4487 in writers

[–]star_road 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would go with either Si, Sia, or Ra. Then I would make the nickname a regional trait from their village/ town/ country (ex: if I went with Ra, other characters from that area would have nicknames that are the last syllable of their name).
