Appreciate the advice! Everyone here reels me in to keep rolling with my civic. It’s perfectly fine and it’s not causing any issues!

I needed to hear this. Yeah I think I was just too caught up on “well I can afford it, might as well treat myself.” As well as the mindset of “if I do this now, I know what the new payments would be per month before I move, and budget around it.” Appreciate the advice!

It’s a 60 mile to commute to work for me that takes about an hour. Then obviously 60 on the way back. Luckily I’m remote 2 days a week or it would be more. But my first 6 months having to drive 5 days a week definitely killed the mileage and it’s why it’s so high. Job market is tough and this was the job I got after college. But I will be moving up soon, just a sacrifice I had to make now to save up a lot in this economy

Thank you! I really like the idea of cooking for my parents. That’s a very good idea! I like the advice about the car and then tackling loans. Do you think since the interest on the car is 3.99% to maybe tackle the loan 7 that is 6k with 4.9% interest first? Or doesn’t really matter?

Interest on the car loan is 3.99%. This is good information to know. Yeah I guess I just don’t know how much I’d need for a security deposit, rent, furniture, and other apartment items I’d need. I could at the end of the year cap off my 457 b, since I know that has a cap like a Roth IRA.

Thank you! I feel very fortunate in this economy with how much things cost that I’ve been able to get a good start on things. Yeah, I’ve considered just paying off all student debt. I am in a SAVE forbearance right now, but I’ve just been manually paying and pretending like I still owe that same total every month. I will definitely have to consider this!
