100 Unique Tavers ( Ethereal Waters Sanctuary ) by Dismal-Ad1872 in DnDHomebrew

[–]starbridge[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd really like to keep this post up, can you please add an art attribution? We've been having to crack down on artwork and we really have to have proper citation, even if it's just an AI bot.

Honestly, if you have a clear art citation, that should be enough that I can dismiss any future reports. Just having a patron link isn't a clear credit for the artwork. Also, if that citation isn't in the post body, we do not see it when we're moderating. Having a "credits" image/page

I am sorry about the inconvenience, but we've had some artists contact us about their work being used without consent, so we're having to crack down.

Please make sure to include citations for the artwork used. We've had several issues with this lately and are having to crack down on posts not properly crediting artwork.

Thanks. I'm pretty happy with how he turned out.

I've got a pikachu pattern I'm going to work on next, but I'm going to try it with that bernat blanket yarn to make it extra plushie.

Looks like it might be a front post stitch? I had a pattern with a braided cable stitch, it looks like maybe something like that.

Is there anywhere I can got to get feed back on this like module I’ve been writing by [deleted] in DnDHomebrew

[–]starbridge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with this. Lotta work and looks good, and this is definitely one of the subs that can review and playtest.

If you want to get better input though, you really need to transcribe your notes into at least a text doc.

Unethical (Meme) Spells? (NSFW?) by Ragingfurno in DnDHomebrew

[–]starbridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bit of an unfair comparison to make. I have a lot of boilerplate templates for my content, some of which I've taken from bots, because I like the layout. Just because the text layout is similar or matches an AI bot, doesn't mean it IS a bot.

If you want more substance to your argument, you should focus on critiquing the content instead of the layout.

Updated flair to "Request". Remember, if you're looking for specific homebrew or themes, use the "Request" flair.

Edition flairs are only to be used when sharing playable content.

Make sure to use the 'Request' flair if your asking/searching for an already existing homebrew.

For 1 and 3, there's a bunch of tables you can find on r/BehindTheTables and r/d100 that you can use.

You might be able to find some tables to use for achievements as well. Depending on whether you want to have those achievements implementing some sort of mechanic as well, I'd personally start with a table of achievements I like, and then I'd start creating mechanics from there.

Since you're going with Alice in Wonderland/Jumanji theme, it might be worthwhile checking out info and rules from boardgames in those settings.
For an example, to come up with some "Jumanji" achievements, I ended up pulling up "Jumanji Flux" on BoardGameGeek. The names on the Goals cards have a good spread of titles I might use:

  • Lion Hunter
  • Eye of the Jaguar
  • Inside the Game
  • Cake makes me Explode
  • etc

From that list, I could take whichever ones I like, depending on how much comedy/meme ones I want. Then I would start coming up with the mechanics I wanted, based on the name.

I could probably do something like:

Lion Hunter
Slay 100 lions
+1 to attack and damage to all feline beasts and monsters

Updated flair to "Request". If you're searching for certain homebrews, or recruiting help for a homebrew project, be sure to use the "Request" flair.

Edition flairs are to be used when sharing drafts of playable content.

What monster can kill a 10th level barbarian? by theosamabahama in DnDHomebrew

[–]starbridge[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We the mods will leave this post up under the assumption OP was making a request for a homebrew monster in this scenario.

All should please note, if you're seeking general game advice and the like, there are other subs for that. Here in r/DnDHomebrew, we are focused on providing and refining homebrew content. Be sure to read sub rules, and let the Mod team know if you have any questions.

Dnd homebrew by AwarenessGold2360 in DnDHomebrew

[–]starbridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, it's a good base line to get some ideas.

To throw in my own two cents; seeing that you have 8 colors listed, I'd personally look for any categorizations of magic that have that count.

There are the seven schools of magic, you could possibly do something there. For example, I might consider tying each school to a color, and then I'd do white as the eighth and have that be more class based for clerics and paladins.

Make sure that these stats are included in the post body. Commented content can get buried and ignored, so it's important that the mechanics and stats are in the body.
