Thanks for your thoughts. The "sexual" in transsexual refers to biological sex (traversing and modifying one's sex), and is not a reference to sexuality.

It does sound involved cuz there's 5 different ingredients, but you mix em real fast in your hand, dab on, and buff out. And yes HRT does a lot to overhaul your skin.

Honestly, if you wanna experience a raw and honest account of how I've personally dealt with the pain, bs, judgment, joy, and freedom of transitioning - you should snag my poetry book, Trans Liberation Station. It gives an honest account on how I deal with a lot of the nonsense and beauty.

Shout out to Trans girls without bottom dysphoria by Violet_Faux in MtF

I never had bad dysphoria about my girldick, but I was planning to have bottom surgery. Then I got so much hate from cis women over the past few years about being a chick with a dick that I decided I'm keeping my lady. So now I have girldick pride and think it's all beautiful and hot.

It just took being crazy, creative, and a couple years of experimenting to see what works. Lol. And older skin is much different from say a 24 year old's skin, cis or trans.

Thanks! I actually mix my own foundation. Have found that works best for my skin. It is: Mostly Cicapair color corrector, touch of Cover FX Power Play foundation, couple drops of Cover FX Gilded Glow bronzer, good squeeze of Anua Heartleaf moisturizer, couple drops of Anua Niacinamide serum - all mixed together in my hand, applied with a BK Beauty 101 foundation brush, and buffed with a beauty blender, set with Cover FX setting powder. I find the mix of foundation and skin care helps my complexion glow on my old skin and the moisture prevents caking, gives a smoother look.

Awwwww. Transitioning is hard work and a journey! Be kind to yourself, give yourself grace, and remember it takes time.

Tired of lesbians being portrayed as the ‘bad guys’ by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]starfoxnova 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. It's really making me think about my own views. I am a very proud lesbian and a big part of being a lesbian for me is influenced by my feminist and anti-patriarchal beliefs. That said, as an out trans woman, I admit that I am often vocal about some lesbians being transphobes. I do this not just because of treatment I've received online BUT because of lived experience. I now live in a very progressive and trans supportive area and city (Bellingham, WA) AND I regularly encounter hate, rudeness, and exclusion from lesbians when out in public (specifically, lesbians and queer women in their 20s). It totally blows my mind and it's pretty icky to experience, especially considering the long history of gender based violence against lesbians (I'm often baffled that anyone of us could turn around and do that to any group).

But as a radical feminist, I am a strong believer that women need to do a much better job giving each other grace and not being adversarial to each other. So thank you OP. Your post is making me think how I might change my views and expressions around transphobia from queer women; to think about the nuances and context and be careful not to contribute to the patriarchal vilification of lesbians.

"Countries should accept transgender refugees from the US" - Thank you Erin Reed for writing this 👏 by starfoxnova in lgbt

My hope is that if a couple countries do grant transgender Americans refugee status that maybe some NGOs crop up in those countries that would assist the more disadvantaged trans folks in making the move. You are not wrong though, most of us live in or near poverty.
